First, you need to parent the doors to the body of the cabinet so that they are "locked" to it. Then display the origins for each of the doors (ctrl+i) and, using the dials, move the origins to the very edge of where the doors meet the cabinet-body. you may want to move the centres of origin to the middle of the width of the door as well. Then set up your rotation using the dials (rename the dial that actually opens the door to open) and delete any unwanted dials using CR2 Editor by J Stallings. Then select the body of the cabinet and save as a prop - including the doors. Paul
Thread: First Atempt and noboby to show it to. + Stupid Question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nice picture, really the only thing I can suggest is for you to crop the picture in an art package so that there is less blank space around the central figure. As it is, the figure looks a little lost :) That's the "grey shrugging guy"-icon that indicates that there isn't a resource file (RSR) to go with the character file (CR2). You'll get this whenever Poser can't find an RSR file. To solve it, simply bring in the boots and position the camera so they pretty much fill the screen, and save them back into your library with exactly the same name. This will force Poser to create the neccesary RSR file. "This has a later version number than expected..." Basically, what this means is that you are opening a figure/prop (whatever) that was created in a later version of Poser than the one you're using. If you've had to re-install Poser, I guess that you originally had Poser patched to 4.x and now you've just got a plain vanilla unpatched version. Go to the CL website to get the latest patch - that should cure your "problem" Paul

This is the thing that really impresses me about Zygote. Their willingness to correct problems on their models, and make those corrections freely available. True, in an ideal world, there wouldn't be these niggling little problems but, unfortunately, this isn't an ideal world :D I recall all the problems with Victoria, and the fact that some of us didn't have the problems that others did. It may be that, whatever caused a problem on some systems for Victoria is causing similar problems for Michael on some other systems. Regardless, as soon as payday rolls around, I'm getting myself Michael - confident that, if there are problems/issues, Zygote will fix them. Paul

My suggestion is to get in touch with Konan directly - as he's the author of the plugin, he might be able to help you more quickly. Paul

Thread: poser animation more than 999 images | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had animations of 2,000+ frames (built at 500 frames per time and added, one after the other) with no problem. Unfortunately, Poser can only display a count for the first 999 frames - that's all the space that the counter allows. But, the missing frames are still there, at the end of the animation - it's just that you need to use the arrow to get to them as the counter doesn't go that high. Paul

IIRC, Tygerlander had some at her site - or it may have been at the Ghastly Software site Paul

What you need is the CR2 editor by John Stallings which is in free stuff. (Just do a search for him). Open a file (CR2 or PP2) in the editor and go into the channels section. There you will see a label "hidden" - this is probably set to "0". If you change it to "1", the dial will not appear when you open the figure/prop. (You can do this in a word editor as well). This is how there are only dials for opening doors and nothing for scale/rotate in the Pickup Truck prop I did. Paul

Thread: Pickup Truck WIP - and a question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Truck is now available in free stuff :) Doors, hood, and tailgate open, as well as both of the cabin windows. And the front wheels turn. Mason - thanks for the info. I'll check Nerd's page and modify the prop if possible Paul
Thread: Poser pro annouced... who nows more? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This pretty much matches up with the announcement made by Curious Labs a little while back. The only new info there is the date of October - the last info I saw simply said "late 2000". Thanks for the update zap2000 Paul
