Quote - hmmm, Aery Soul, gone. Santum arts, gone. Making high quality Poser content just does not seem to pay well enough. Or maybe they just like playing video games?
Poser merchants suffer from the effects of rampant piracy. When people don't get paid for the weeks or months spent creating their work, they stop producing. Who can blame them?
Where's Ayn Rand when you need her? Down in the cellar eatin' sauer kraut? Save me some, I love the stuff. Especially with potatoes and sausages.....umm hmm.

My God, man, dialup is....is....uncivilized! I'd rather drink muddy water and live in a holler log.

Free education? I hear they have free education out in Californy, just as long as you aren't a citizen. And there's a plenty of work a pickin' peaches and grapes, too. Why, I'm gonna get me one of them phd's, pick a mess of grapes big enough to fill a warsh tub, then sit down right in the middle of 'em and sqoosh around to beat dickens.I smell ribs.

I'm sure they would be appreciated.

I experience periods of weariness with almost all of my software. Crashes and bugs are often a contributing factor, but sometimes one just needs a break to try out something new.
The idea of restoring a large Poser collection gives me a headache, but sooner or later I reckon you'll want to get back in the game. As an experienced user, you can save a lot of time and effort by being familiar with what's available, free or otherwise, and skip downloading what you didn't like. Stick to the essentials.

Quote - Much worst, it is fake money and nobody goes to jail for this.
That's why I use food stamps. They're fake, but nobody gives a damn.
Please don't hate me because I'm bootiful.

I'd like to take part in the discourse, but I can't. My posts in such discussions are always deleted with a few nasty, non sequitur criticisms thrown in to add salt to the wound.
Thread: Poser not finding files | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't why such intelligent people who can create elegant and complex models can't get this simple process right. I'm a total moron, and it seems quite straight forward to me.
Meh.

Thank you for the question and the links. While it may take a lot of work, you can get some decent results in the hair room. Adorana use to make some absolutely wonderfu dynamic hair and color mats. Her download links are still here at Rendo's free stuff library. If you're unfamiliar with them, check them out.Unfortunately, her website is gone. Hope she's all right.

A problem I'm encountering more often than ever lately is improper file heirachy structures in compressed files. Here's an example of the right way to do it:
Runtimelibrariespropsjimmyprops
This is incorrect: jimmychairlibrariespropsjimmyprops
The second compressed file will create a folder Poser will never recognize.
In the past few months I've encountered dozens of this sort of basic error, and I've only given you a very mild example. Now I only rarely encounter a file capable on one click installation, and am forced to decompress into a temporary folder and sort the mess out by hand for manual installation.
This may not be the only cause of the problems you've been having, but I'm sure it isn't helping.
Thread: Judy, Judy, Judy! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That would be frustrating, but Aery is the exception rather than the rule. Rendo has no no power to prevent a vendor from pulling up stakes and moving to another site, just as long as they honor orders that have already been placed.
Sometimes, life is not good. Even so, I've never had a single problem ordering from them.

Quote - > Quote - Poser World. Next to Renderosity, it's the best Poser resource on the net. Check out their inventory to see if there's anything you can use.
They don't hve any free atuff there anymore do they? I mean you gotta join and it costs to do that, to get whatever they might have as free downloads, right?
They still have a bit of free stuff, but for ten bucks you get a 30 day membership with unlimited downloads of thousands of items for every Poser figure, along with scenery and props. I call that an insane bargain.
You can also request Judy items by email or private messages from vendors in the rendo marketplace. .They have terrific prices there as well. I've purchased photoshop actions and great V3 hair for as little as five bucks. Damn!! Sometimes, life is good.
Thread: OT: Computer boot up time question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use AVG anti-virus, and have noticed that the latest version slows the boot-up process considerably. But it's worth the delay.
If you're using Norton or McAfee, you might consider ditching them and try Avast, Avira or AVG. All offer very good free versions.
Althouh as I've already mentioned, AVG is somewhat slow to load, it's still light years ahead of Norton or McAfee imho. And none of them hog system resources.
