ok bagginsbill, you're not satisfied with it but I don't recall ever seeing better grass. You're far more advanced than I in developing procedural nodes so I got nothing to offer there.
Thread: New female Poser figure? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Another figure warranted? Yes! (until one is developed with proper joints...even the availability of different joint setups based on an intended pose(s) would be an improvement)
Compatibility: Use V3 textures; otherwide, i the joints work right, I would buy regardless
Morph injection: overall dislike. If I were designing a figure, I'd include "standard" morphs in the cr2. Use morph injection for additional features, e.g., aliens, fairies, orcs, "enhanced" musclature for body builders, etc. This would also probably make "ease of use" an easier goal.
Age: mid-twenties to mid-thirties would be my target
Realistic with a reasonable number of polys please. As others have mentioned, smoothing overcomes some problems with lower poly counts; however, some "places" on the figure need extra, particulary where folks frequently "exaggerate" morphs, e.g., face, breasts, hip/buttocks...don't be too frugal on the polys there.

I seriously doubt that some "family Friendly" things are really good for families... Good point. Manson had a family. :-)

Yes! Area render is great. It saves some time BUT the tweaking process is still a PITA when you can't seem to nail it. LOL
Thread: Two Pass Rendering | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
multi-pass rendering is when you render only certain elements at a time usually foreground to background (or vice versa) then composite in a graphics program such as Photoshop. As for your other quetion, not sure what you're trying to accomplish but as I read it, you'd probably have a seam at the horizon line regardless of how you proceed. Have you considered using prop like Daz' cyclorama, RDNA's infinity cove? If your background image incorporates the gound, that could do the trick allowing use of shadows in a somewhat "realistic" manner.

Yup Nance, I'm still around too. As for using "point at" I agree. It is cheating in a sense; however, real people generally focus on something. :-) I live with it having found that posing eyes to be the most time-consuming thing to get exactly right...pose, render, a little more left, render, now a little more down, render, too much, use half that setting, render, not enough (or too much)...uggh!!! Then do the other eye. The next thing I know the sun is rising. Heaven forbid you decide to change the head or camera angle. LOL Like Ikyoto, I aim the eyes at a prop roughly 2X to 3X the distance of the camera so crossed eyes aren't usually a problem. I've usually found that "walleyed" look has just as much to do with the expression, or lack thereof, than anything else, particularly when "blink" is set to 1.

I can take #3 (I think). As I recall, this package uses Black Eyes...well anyway, this works for Black Eyes. A similar setup may work for others. 1) Choose the prop. 2) Open the joint editor 3) in the "End Point" boxes, change the "z" value to 0.90 4) you may also have to tweak the "x" value slightly 5) Chose the other eye and do the same.

I've been quietly following along on previous posts. Extremly impressive work!!! Thanks so much for sharing.
