I don't know why this should be an issue. I've never posted something to Freestuff but I'm sure there's a form to fill out, just like when we post a message. Why can't there be a checkbox or something that says "PD" for public domain or something like that, to let people know if it's restricted or not? The MarketPlace already has something like this; they have an icon that distinguishes between "for-profit" and "non-profit" purchases. Again, I'm only guessing, but I'm sure there's a checkbox or something that people have to fill out to tell the system if what they're selling is for profit or for charity.
Thread: Rendering hi-res movies in poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, you should skip the compression; in fact, you should skip doing the movie in Poser altogether. I usually output my movies as single images and then put them together in GIFAnimator by Ulead. It's inexpensive (approx. $50) and, despite the name, will actually let you create MPEGs, AVIs, MOV, and Flash animations. You can also specify the frame rate so you can slow down your 30 fps animation or speed it up if you want. Neat little program.
Thread: Morph targets....? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Fishnose: I've been able to move morph targets between the P4 woman and Victoria P4. I've also been able to move targets from Stephanie to Victoria clothing. As far as moving targets from Stephanie to Victoria, for example, I haven't tried that one yet.

I don't know anything about 3D Max, but I have the Tailor for Poser, which is specifically for sharing morph targets between models. I'm almost positive you could do it with that. You can buy the Tailor in the Marketplace (not affiliated with the product, btw, just someone who likes it.)
Thread: Problem with Jagged Morphs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Clarification - the morph was set to 1.000 when the FBM morph was created on the clothing; for these renders only, the muscular morph was set to 1.250 on all three. If it's not jaggy on the body model, why is it jaggy on the clothing models?

This is a BEAUTIFUL image. The only thing that looks awry to me is the shadows...notice how her arm is casting a shadow on the (lilly?), but her stretched out leg is not. The leg looks flat, where the arm looks three-dimensional. That's the only thing wrong that I can see, and it doesn't detract from this at all.

That's how it should work, MeInOhio. If you set the morphs in Tailor to "Morphs selected are like one body morph" and give the morphs a common name, such as pbmMuscular, pbmSkinny, pbmGorilla, or whatever, you'll be able to find them for each body part when you go back into Poser and you can use the method I described above.
Thread: Feedback to DAZ on Stephanie | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I haven't read all the posts here, but speaking just for myself, I think Stephanie is absolutely fantastic! I think DAZ was unbelievably generous to offer her for free to prior customers, given the amount of time and effort that must go into making such a detailed model. My God, the texture template alone looks like it took a week to get right! Why would ANYONE complain that the Mystery Model was a new character? This character can wear Vicki's clothes just fine, and there're plenty of clothes for Vicki out there. Not to mention the fact that clothing items at DAZ are usually very inexpensive, about $15-25. Thank you, DAZ, for your generosity, and please don't let a few nay-sayers give you the wrong impression about your customers.

I've tried the A2Z Vicki MAT poses and they didn't work so well with Steph...should I be using Michael MATs instead?
