Awesome tutorial, thanks for the link. The image is hilarious. My fave thing to do is apply sleazy vicki poses to the freak - makes you realize how ridiculous they are ;-)

See this is just what I thought would happen. PAs listen to you whiners - and then they get rightfully mad at getting their generosity thrown back at them like a mud pie. So those of us that appreciate it get screwed because some of you have a bad attitude and wish to share it. sigh

Well, the Daz freebies were at the Daz site, not posted all over the Internet. If they were over here posting freebies I would say you have a point. But what's wrong with freebies they decide to host at their own site, which are primarily of use to their own best customers? Nobody hunted anybody down and made them go over there looking for a handout. Edited for spelling.

This is so horrible. I can't believe people are so ungrateful. I am truly sad if you can't take a free gift and accept it in the spirit that it is given. If you don't own Poser should someone buy that for you so you can use the gifts? If you don't have a fast enough computer to run whatever program, should DAZ buy you one? And the artists who GAVE these textures away, so what if they then see an increase in sales of their base product? Like that's so different that what they do at Victoria's Secret, or the GAP or any other store in our capitalist society? Argh. People make me crazy. Free is free. These things are free. If they are useless to you, that's your problem. Some of them are useless to me, some I am going to horde until I have the product I need, some I enjoy right now. Dang, it's not like they knew you didn't have any feet, and gave you shoes or something. Oh, people make me nuts. Go look up pictures of women in Darfur whose lips and noses have been hacked off by militant groups, and then come back and whine some more about how you want more free things that are tailored to your unique needs. Argh. Argh squared.

I am starting to wonder if someone hasn't hijacked this guy's account login. Nobody really acts that way, do they?

OK that's just weird. Because I went and looked at your image, and it's nothing like that. And there are some images here that ARE like that. So if you were going to post something that rude, then make sure it fits the image, at least. Such an odd thing. I would ignore it, and totally leave the comment there. The person is just a troublemaker looking for a big reaction.

Oh no. My name would be really cheeky if it was "sf layer" wouldn't it? It's just a boring combo of my first and last names. And where I live, people quoting Rummy would be serious. Wait, people where I live don't know who he is. They are at the mall getting their mullets shorn for the big truck pull coming up. That would be a good one. Naked V3 at a truck pull, with a can of Bud. Actually, that's probably around here somewhere.

Oh crap, another victim to an unintentional Rumsfeld quote. That's four people I know, this week alone. I think everyone's comments are valid. It's tiresome to see big naked vicki boobs, and it's my responsibility to keep on clicking. It's hard online (or offline) to find a group of people who exactly mirror your idea of the way the world ought to be. And who would want that anyway?

Ah, but have you posed one in that position, to make sure? I myself have not. And I think I will skip it. :-p

Is there some kind of acronym for Naked V3 or SP in or out of a temple with or without a sword but with ridiculously large and anatomically impossible breasts? Looking at these pictures makes my own breasts hurt. I don't like to judge other peoples art/hobby whatever, but when it's just huge boob women over and over, in a variety of degrading poses - that's tiresome. And those are the ones with tons of comments like "Awesome render!" "Great character!" "Wonderful piece!" ??? Not to mention the naked preteen that I saw today. Since you don't know the artists intentions there, it's really not fair to judge I guess. But it made me uncomfortable. Anyway, I haven't been posting here long (and I am not against a little nudity!) but I understand people's points. If there were fewer gallery subcategories under Poser or one that included "borderline child porn" or "hugely oversized mammary glands" it might be easier for the rest of us to filter :-)
Thread: Constructive feedback in Galleries? (controversial) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I sort of assumed that was the case here - I haven't been posting long, but it seems that people here like to comment on their friends work without much regard for its actual worth as a piece, but more for the sake of support. Which is very valid in its own way, of course. Most people would like a place to come and share their work and be validated by friends. But for someone who wants to get hones st feedback in order to grow, it's hard. I will just keep asking for constructive criticism in my posts, and accept it with a little "Ouch!" when it hits too close to the mark. I would rather be criticized by great artists than praised by not-so-great ones, any day. :-)

I agree with your sentiment. I would like to improve, and while I appreciate the "Great Work!" pats on the back, some appropriately phrased critique would be very appreciated on my part. I really do want to learn how to be better, and I know there are experts here that could help. Maybe we need to post "I ain't ascairt of no criticism!" on our notes?! :-)
