If I understand you correctly, you can't do what you are asking. However, there is something of a workaround. Going back to the method I gave earlier, do as I said, with the exporting image, etc. When you import the image again, you can click the Apply Shape Only button, and it will apply the shape of the face you have created, but not the texture. I hope this makes sense. BTW: If you wanted to do it the way xantor said, you would save the whole figure just as though you had created a new model with morphs. Then you would save it in the figures library.
Thread: Saving Face Room creations? Where? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes, you can do that as well. What I meant though, was that if you want to use the same mapping created from the import process, for another model, instead of trying again to get the mapping correct, (which is a total pain,) you can save the image, then import again, and it will immediately recreate the morphs. Then you can make minor adjustments via the dials, for variety on the same model. You can actually create many different faces with the same two pictures. Plus, if you import the custom image, the Random Face button will work with that texture!

When you are in the face room, down where the image is created from the pictures you import, there are two buttons. They look like file symbols, but are gray. If you click the one on the right-hand side, it will allow you to save the image. Once you have saved it, you can use it again later instantly by going back to the face room, and clicking the file symbol on the left hand side. You can then choose the image you created and it will immediately apply the face to the head in the room. BTW: A good tip is to change the default name Poser gives the file when you export it. Give it something meaningful so you can locate it again. I tend to name my faces based on the actual person they were modelled after.
Thread: P6 service release in final stages | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks Steve, but I agree with Damsel. If the team wasn't busy with the Scotch, maybe we wouldn't have such a critical need for the patch! ;-)
Just kidding, thanks for the update, and I, like the rest of the Poser world, will wait in excited patience for the release.
Thread: *HELP-URGENT* (OT) Graphics card starts up in VGA mode...... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The card can start up in VGA mode, which is actually what you want right now. Something is wierd though, if you cannot enter Safe Mode. You should be able to boot into safe mode regardless of problems, in VGA mode. Do you have a Windows boot disk? If so, then boot from that. You will want to enter Safe Mode, so you can reset the graphics card to VGA, then reinstall the drivers.
Thread: Jessie's Poser 6 BIG dissapointment | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I still stand by my opinion that Jessi looks like an alien. As for the bends, I have done a few renders of her, and I don't seem to be having the same problems as others. The inside elbow does look unnatural when bent, but the knees look okay to me. I liked Judy myself. I thought she was great, and she worked really well in the Face Room for me. I would continue to use her, but I like the new maps for Jessi. If CL would combine the maps for Jessi with the wireframe of Judy, I would be in heaven.
Thread: is it just me or jessi looks like brooke burns??? off topic | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Um, Brooke Burns surely not. Well, maybe if she was starring in the new Sci-Fi channel movie "It Came From Area 51." Sorry people, I have heard from other people that agree with me that Jessi has an alien head. How many people do you know who have a cranium that is that round in the back? It's almost like they took a lightbulb, texture mapped it, and called it a woman.
Thread: Menu is off-screen | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, I am working at 1280x1024, its more than big enough. It was just Poser telling me to sleep I think. Not that I have actually listened! ;-) Thanks for the response though!
Thread: Menu is off-screen | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay, sorry. All I had to do was shut down Poser and it fixed itself. Maybe it was just trying to tell me to get some sleep. ;-)
Thread: Poser love affair, continued.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Paulotin,
I haven't used the INJ stuff, so I can't really help you there. But I did notice something that maybe you aren't aware of, and who knows, maybe it is related, either way, it will help anyone who isn't aware.
When you want to replace James with another figure, the best way to do it is not to just open your new figure over James. I saw this in a thread, and started doing it, and it has helped me a lot. You should delete James in the scene, then open the figure.
Seems if you simply replace him, he leaves behind remnants of himself that skew everything you do from that point on. I hope this is where your problem is coming from, but even if not, hopefully it will help someone else as much as it has for me.
Thread: Is it wrong? | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
Yangaimin,
I posted a reply to you in the regular Poser forum, but I'll reiterate here.
Post the full code for us here. The error message says the error is on line 4. The error may not have anything to do with the AppLoaction call. Scripting can be tricky sometimes.
looks at the clumps of hair he has pulled out trying to get JavaScripts to work in the past

Thread: Poser Python Wish List | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
I think I figured out where the errors are coming from in the NoPoke script.
On lines 195, and 289, there are only 1 set of parens. You need to double them up. Like so:
195: InnerAngles.append((Dist,bi,dX,dY,dZ)) # need the body index here!
289: OldMorphs.append((OneParm.Name(),OneParm.Value()))
I added the extra parens and now it works.
Thread: why? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The error shows in Line 4. Can you include the full script, since you only have the first 3 lines showing. I just ran across a problem that was strange, until I looked in other places for the problem.
Thread: The Face Room interface-Can I customize it? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I dont think you change the size of the windows, but you can zoom inside the windows, so that should allow you to see the details you need. Works for me! ;-)
