Thanks for the help!
I have P7 ... too much of a shock. Thought i'd start with something a little less daunting.
P6 gets along with Vue 6 and that is a bonus for me.
I've known Dr Geep for years - he modeled my house for one of his 'Using nothing but Poser 4' tutorials. But you are right - he is the go-to-guy for all things Poser.
Is it possible to open a P4 Scene into P6?
Thanks again

I've just installed P6... been on P4 all these years.
I love Vue, and if it gets along with P6 i'm satisfied.

Thanks for the instructions (duh). I would have never found it without your help.
I love the store, and check it every week.
I have one more question... are the terrain packs only for V6INF? Would they work in V6 Esprit?
I'm looking at the 'mars' terrain pack - love those smoothe terrains and materials.

Well... I couldn't find the materials. I went through each page (all 83 pages)...
My next step is to copy the material names and search that way.
And thanks for the free stuff answer.

Where is the 'free stuff' at C3D?
I've gone through the store, page by page (as i've bought a few models) but have't seen the exact materials.
I'll just have to make that journey again.
Thank you, Barcode!

I stuffed my P4 Camera folder full of poses... mats and poses. Plus I put files together and rename the folder (Dogs&Cats). I'm a pose junky. So much so, that I did the same in ProPack.
When I found out that you could install P4 in every partition of your hard drive, I had three going -Daz, RDNA, Renderosity. They all worked fine on a Win98 PC. That was years ago, during the V2 era.
P4 is rock solid.

Thank you haegerst! I should have thought about the update - it probably would have worked.
But no, I did it the hard way. I don't even remember my settings...
I really appreciate your help. And wish I hadn't gone to e-on - they said it had to be a full reinstall. No tips or tricks for me.
But I did get the update.
And I still love Vue!

According to eon it's a full reinstall. Have to move 15 gigs to another folder, reinstall, and then put it all back....
DAMN!

I'd pay for it ! David would wind up as the 'Merchant of the Month'.
I've bought very little for V4. Just don't like the look of her.
She'd look better in V3Skins.
Just like the MP got rid of a lot of V2 stuff when V3 was released, I see very little V3 stuff now.
But this time I went through the entire store and bought a ton of V3 goodies as soon as V4 came out... Glad I did!
