sanbase - you would be dangerous in 3D
I just watched some of the animation of your artwork.
Imagine if a 3D figure could walk throughout the objects while they were morphing

Thread: animation in poser 7, keyframing question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sean, with all due respect, you are making assumptions that the thread poster speaks nothing about.
he wanted to know how to keep the can still until it is time for the figure to interact with it:
*.... my figure approaches the can and it begins to float to her hand as she walks to it. how do I lock the can down not to move until the figure picks it up?
*And so I gave a simple accurate sollution that I thought a newbie would appreciate, and it will accomplish the requested goal. The parenting discussion is all well and good, but we are not at the point where we are worried about the figure picking up the can -yet. I wanted to directly adress the problem as stated: how do you put something back in place that has moved when it should not. At the same time, Blaack widow will be introduced to the animation palette , which I find is a very good tool .

Thread: animation in poser 7, keyframing question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
simple answer is :
set scene to frame one. Open the animation palette, go to the row for the can prop, highlight all cells in the row after frame 1, but before the frame where you really want the can to start to move, and hit "delete" on your keybord.
close animation palette.

Thread: Creating animations to sell - Can I use custom morphs? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
what are you really trying to sell?
The animation itself - or your custom figure as an animated figure?
I, for one, would not buy someone elses custom figure, but I would buy animations.
I would suggest you create the animation with your morphs applied to your figure, then remove the morphs and try the animation and see if it still flies.( arms not passing through hips, or whatever, etc)
If it still works, you can sell it ,claiming that it also works on base Aiko, or base V or whatever, but package it as your custom morphed figure's animation.
I would only spend $ for animation to unmorphed figures. I want to make my own morphs but i have no time to make animations

Thread: Faceshop Pro 4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Draw fine 1 pt guidelines on your source image in Photoshop before you import it into Faceshop. Put a line exactly down the center of forehead down to the middle of lips and chin, make sure you go perfectly through center of nose.(Laslo does state that it is best to get a perfectly posed straight on head shot for best results, he is right - you can find a perfectly positioned shot of almost any major celebrity). Use these guidlines to help place your dots on your image perfectly when you have it imported into FS.( You can go back and remove the fine guidelines from the resulting texture map image later.)
You can actually get PERFECT results if you have a subject image whose face is relatively symmetrical ( similar eyeshap, similar ears, proportional lips) and you do the following:
After placing guidelines in PS, actually draw dots around the eyeholes and nose that will act as the actual guide points for where you will place the dots in FS. But do this only for ONE eye and ONE side of the nose. Make sure you draw these dots on a NEW transparent layer on top of the image, then you duplicate this layer and horizontal flip it, position it so the dots are in the same place on opposing side of the face. Now you have prefectly matched symmetrical eyes, nose, plus guidelines to get your face lined up right, etc. If you do not like the fact that you are creating a completely symmetrical face, tweak it later in Poser or whatever.
The point if this excersize is that with the guidelines and guide dots, you can get the dots placed in FS excatly where you intend with no mistake. Doing it without guides with that FS arrow is aggravting- (i used to go BACK or REMOVE about 100 times in one session.)
I do have a criticism of FS version 4.0 and that is that the Vicky morph target that comes ready in FS does not actually map to V 4.2 in Poser, so it is worthless. - I KNOW you can import your own OBJ of V4.2 head, But it would be so much easier if the one that is preloaded worked, because the lines are already drawn perfectly for you on the preloaded morph target!

Thread: Can you move full body morphs to body part listings? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sorry I was assumptive about your plans, E.B. ;-)
Les thanks for that info I will try it.
slightly off topic: Les,
when i use Mirror mags and want to affect custom polygon groups, I am creating a group called rbreast and a (mirror) polygon group called lbreast ( trying to avoid affecting the rest of chest) First, i am assigning Mag1 zone to rbreast. then i create mag2....when i load MM32 to affect mag2 everything seems to be going nicely, in other words i am morphing only the rbreast group with Mag1 and the lbreast group is responding nicely to mag2.... but if a make an EXTEME magnet move i notice that the left polygon group is getting violated, and deformations to the left breast caused by mirrored magnet #2 go outside of my selected polygon group called lbreast. (rbreast deformations are correctly staying to only the rbreast group)
sugestions? ( aside from "don't do extreme moves to the magnet" ;-) ....!!! )

Hi E Bob -
can you or someone else give a little more detail on that hack?
I am also extremely intested in this capability - I want to work with V4.2 in Poser and make, for instance, just her shoulders more "Amazon" but not the rest of her. I think that is where Paloth is going with this too.....

Thread: Disappointed With the New V4 Elite Morphs... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh and if anyone has a morph that makes her shoulders wider, bigger and less "bony", ( without changing anything else) please let me know!
I am working on it now myself.
Thanks

Thread: Disappointed With the New V4 Elite Morphs... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think the thing about V4 is her hips are too tall, too much Y coordinate length. I don't think it is her legs that are too long. I also think that is why her glutes came out to be sort of "long" - (in order to fit the opposing dimension of her hips)....and that is why extreme bends create that famous crazy ugly rearend shape. The reason I like Sydney's standard morphs better than any of the available V4 morphs is, you can take a body part like "hips" and scale them sorter ( less "Y") and they stay meshed up nicely with the other parts. You cant do that with any parts of V4 really.
Sure you can make her total body scale a shorter size, but for me, i want to keep all the default proportions and just make the hips shorter.
BTW I think V4s face is super hard to turn into a very sweet pretty face, sure I know a lot of experts here have done it, but for a novice like myself, she has this masculine face shape and jaw thing going on. I cannot make her look really feminine pretty. Before she gets pretty I have already gone overboard on the face dials. I am going back to Sydney for my next major project.

can you please assist..... to be quite candid, Sir, ....... I'm scared.
If i cannot have this utility, I will have to rethink my purpose here on earth.

I was wondering what the sequence would be( If I can do this)
to create a conforming hair prop as the final end product of my work in the hair room.
I figured I should
