Anton, I thought it was documented, either in the P3/P4 readme or somewhere in the manual. I'm getting old, too little room in the sponge these days.

PabloS I agree, we need more tutorials. Lots more tutorials. We're pushing that effort around as well. I hope to have some good ones in the next few weeks, if not sooner. Kupa

cute... ;-) A tip- before you start styling the hair, vary the length of the hair so the ends aren't exactly even, it tends to have a little more realistic appearance. If you try and vary the length after you've done some styling, the hair gets reset. I hate that too... Steve Cooper

very cool! If you start experimenting with the cloth room's air resistance and cloth thickness settings, you can come close to duplicating the appearance of silk in the air. The wind deformer adds some very realistic turbelence to have the cloth appear to ripple. Another cool trick, if you don't need to have the cloth act dynamically as it would in an animation, spawn a morph once the cloth object has been deformed, then you can delete the dynaimcs and use the morph to deform the cloth. Experiment some first so you don't loose critical cloth calculations. This is a good technique for using P5 dynamic cloth to create tablecloths or other less dynamic examples of cloth, without any modeling. Steve Cooper

We added this cut and paste to text functionality sometime between either versions 3 or 4. Too long ago to chronicle precisely. Glad it can be of some use or interest.

Jaager, Thanks for the contributions you've made in various threads about the figuers, and otehr P5 features. We are planning on rolling out an updater that fixes the FBMs and morphs this upcoming week. You're a good man. Kupa

Thank you. I'll share your thoughts and comments with the team that created Poser 5. They're all being hit hard by the reaction, living thread to thread as well and want to help make things right. Steve Cooper

The P5 figures also work with Text Puppet, another facial animation tool for lip synching.

One other detail- the clothing was designated as P5--- to indicate that it conforms to a P5 figure, with the updated hip and collar structure. There is also a collection of P4 clothing which conforms to the the Poser 4 figures.

John, We had a large team of volunteers and remote on-staff modelers overseas working on sections of the content project. We didn't implement a rigid naming system, though we should have. There were clothing items which were part of a set, such as the Clubbing Outfits, and some of these in the series were not included. Kupa

Hey ShadowWind, I would hope you don't get flamed for what you're saying. Your comments don't deserve it. You paid for your copy, you're entitled to vent. You're being honest. If anybody is getting flamed it's deservedly been us. Check around, it isn't hard to see. We're going to bear responsibility here, and make good. BTW, I'm not sharing background details to get sympathy, I'm just telling the truth about why the product went out the door when it did and how it did. We may not be here in a year, but hopefully we will, the roughest time cashflow-wise is behind us. If we do end up circling the bowl please be the loudest proponent of urging that security unlock update to be made public. I'll back you totally. As for the finances behind it, we certainly wouldn't have invested in security measures if it jeopardized salary. Those license numbers are surprisingly small at our modest application level, and the hardware was an investment we had made in AvLab and ProPack. Questor, I hope at some point this turns around. That's what we'll be trying to do.

Dave-so, There would be nothing more satisfying than fully detailing the funding saga here at Curious, but I'll reserve that for the book Mallenlane's waithing for. Why should Anthony have all the fun? We deserve the heat, not you. But what we really want is to figure out how the fix the bugs you're finding and fix them fast. That's a very reasonable request. And I appreciate that there hasn't been an en-masse effort to return product. Last thing in the world we need right now are more of those darned P5 boxes to clog up the halls. ;-) Steve Cooper

Casamerica, did you connect with tech support? Even if you can't share the files, it would be good to take a closer look at what your problem is. It sounds like a rendering issue, not as in it being slow, but happening at all. I'm really concerned about this issue. If there is some kind of similarity with others that you're seeing regarding system set-up, hardware, some common troublesome files that we could purchase, etc. please let us know, you'd help us understand and ultimately help to fix this issue.
