Marque, now that you mention it the lack of a hair part in the middle is something missing that you don't pick up on right away. I suspect there was some post work done and it was rendered outside Poser because 99% of the time the artist will explicitly state that it was done in Poser without postwork when this is the case. I'm not knocking this product. Its just that the advertisement pictures shown in the Marketplace are meant to display are meant to give as much detail to help the person decide whether they want to buy or not. The pictures shown here simply do not give much away about the product.
Thread: Really BASIC Poser animation question | Forum: Animation
definiteily gives you better quality. You might try some of the video editor packages like Ulead, etc. that give you downloadable demos to use for a limited period of time. Whatever you choose you can't do worse than what Posers compression spits out.
Thread: Arduino's Eve character | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What are the other noticable differences between Eve and Posette? Just curious is all as to what other morphs make the body more realistic is all.

Thread: does rendering really take all night? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I know 3DS makes higher quality renders but has anyone here rendered a scene in Poser and then rendered it in 3DS to compare the difference in speed? Also Teena, 256 ram for a 1.6CPU seems pretty low.

Or another way of doing it is if you have Propack where you can animate the materials and make the first shirt totally transparent. Or have two shirts in the same pose with only one conformed and making different groups of one invisible and groups of the other visible throughout the animation. Any way you do it its going to take some patience but thanks for the inspiration.
Thread: Just got the Gypsy Hair by Harvey Mann from the Market Place and... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What render engine did you use and did you do any post work? I gotta beleive that hair like that must really add to render times, what?
Thread: WIP vicky texture - could use some fedback | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When was the last time someone introduced a new character with not just a texture but face and body morphs? Better yet, how about a new character like this with not only new body morphs but a magnet set or morph target to apply to the clothes so that they fit the new character. Has anyone else but me noticed that while the new Vicky characters all look the same the Michael characters have more diversity at least in the face morphs and texture maps. I bet if you took the last 6 new Vicky characters introduced in the Marketplace and put them in a lineup without hair nobody would be able to match them up correctly. Farang
Thread: Any freeware to encode Poser "Uncompressed Full Frames" to Divx out there? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Or any low cost programs that would encode to divx or some other codec and not use Posers awful compression. Want to see if quality will be different trying it this way.

Also note that Traveller also not only includes the morphs as obj. files but also includes the magnets so that you can morph the clothes to fit the morphed body. As for the fabric/tile patterns, you know I was wondering about those myself. I would think that the way to use them would be to stack them up in photoshop in like 5 rows and 5 columns and save it like that.

Nextup is currently beta testing AT&T's upcoming speech engine and the pronunciation editor I'm told is awesome. Here's a link to the site---http://www.nextup.com/TextAloud/attnv.html

Actually there are a few UK English speech engines available out there but by far the best sounding one has to be by L&H. Hey Jamball, can text puppet import one of these? And also, I looked at Text Puppet and was wondering whose Speech Engine it uses. AT&T currently has a new speech engine in the beta stage that will blow away all the competition. I corresponded with Nextup which has a text to speech app that is beta testing it now. If TextPuppet uses AT&T's current speech engine then its about to get a lot better in the near future.
