Thread: Can I post?... | Forum: Community Center
Maybe you should create a list of sites that are acceptable to post direct links to.
Direct links to other stores provided by moderators in other posts that I have seen recently include:

Thread: Identifying model parts in the UV map | Forum: Blender
If you click on the button indicated in the attached picture you will toggle on the "Keep UV and edit mode mesh selection in sync" action. This will show, when in edit mode, all the faces of the mesh in the "UV Editor" window. If you use the "L" key in the left window (3D View) you will select all the faces in each separate mesh element, these faces will then be highlighted in the "UV Editor".

Thread: Is your submission guidelines available as a PDF? | Forum: Freestuff
Have a read through this post I started back in 2015 where I tried to argue that the PDF format should be an acceptable file format for the Read Me files of a product instead of having to duplicate everything in two files, text and PDF. Needless to say that you can bang your head against a brick wall for only so long.

"I think everyone pretty much knows that's Victoria 7 and looks nothing like Victoria 4."
I'm 100% sure that you're 100% wrong with that statement. The fact that the OP started the thread is an indication that there exists confusion in what products are for Poser, DAZ Studio or both. New users to the programs and marketplaces won't necessarily know these things. Inferring that someone who doesn't know these things must be dumb says more about your arrogance than their ignorance.

Thread: Backdrop in Node Editor | Forum: Blender
Personal preference and maybe saving some screen space by combining two functions in the one area. If you do want to have the nodes in one workspace and the image in another then consider having the image workspace set to UV/Image Editor instead of the Node Editor. That way you don't need a viewer node as the composite node is what sends the render result to the UV/Image Editor, and your node tree won't obstruct your view of the image.

Thread: Backdrop in Node Editor | Forum: Blender
I've looked at the videos you linked to and I now have a clearer idea of what you meant in your original question. The backdrop image you are referring to, that shows in the compositor behind the node setup, is a result of the connection of the viewer node. If you have a viewer node connected but the backdrop checkbox unchecked then there will be nothing displayed. If you have the backdrop box checked but no viewer node then again nothing will be displayed. If there is no completed render result to feed an image to the render layer then again nothing will be displayed.
I am using Blender version 2.77a and can't replicate the problem you are describing in so far as no backdrop image appearing with the proper node setup but I can offer a couple of suggestions.
The Ctrl+Shift+Click you are referring to is a feature of the Node Wrangler addon which comes with Blender by default so make sure that this is activated in the User Preferences>Addons. To make it work press and hold Ctrl+Shift and then Click on the node that you want the viewer node to connect with. If you just click anywhere nothing will happen. In the Magic Mineral tutorial creating the viewer node connection with the Ctrl+Shift+Click method requires the render layer to be clicked on (like with the Energy Effect tutorial) resulting in the backdrop appearing.

There could be a number of things that are going wrong with your node setup and render layer setup.
I will make some assumptions here:
The attached image shows a basic node setup to composite an "object" render layer with a "shadow" render layer on a separate background image.
To add your viewer node press "Shift+A" and select it from the Output options.

Thread: Texture Transitioning problem. | Forum: Blender
I've put links to two zip files using your morph.blend as a starting point with various combinations of material/texture transitions from one state to another using Blender Internal renderer. If any of them are close to what you are wanting to do then that will give us a better starting point. If I'm still way off the mark then PM me and I will give you an email address to send me your blend file to look at.

Thread: Texture Transitioning problem. | Forum: Blender
Firstly apologies as the example I gave above was using Cycles nodes instead of using Blender Internal which you were using in your morph blend. The Diffuse BSDF, Mix Shader and Material Output are Cycles nodes thats why you couldn't find them in BI.
Secondly the example I showed above (Cycles or BI) was showing Shader nodes where as the image you posted above is showing Compositor nodes.
I am also wondering if the effect you are after is actually intended as a "Fade" which would be better suited using either Blenders video editor or another video editing program?
