I was looking for something like a kid would use...tied at the neck or safety-pinned, you know? Didn't know if anyone had made anything like that. I have other capes from other outfits, but I was hoping to find one that looked like the kind my little brother used to use...guess I'll try to use what I already have or try OrcaDesignStudios's suggestion. Thanks though...really appreciate it! :-D
Thread: What is the name of the Font that Renderosity uses? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Did a quick search on Yahoo...the font, 'CGPhenixAmerican', can be downloaded here: http://www.thewizard.it/download/font/creativi/ Just scroll down and you'll find it in the list. Best regards...
Thread: poser 5 error message | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ohhh! This is too wierd! I had this prob a few months back - asked a friend here and he sent me to this thread: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=1791044 I followed the number 3. post on this thread and deleting that LibraryPrefs.xml worked like a charm for me...but do back it up before you delete, if that's what you choose to do, just in case. [I put a copy on my desktop, re-started Poser and when I knew Poser was working OK, I deleted the copy.] I said it was wierd, cuz I had the same prob crop again tonight and had to re-fix! Anyway, hope this helps...best regards...
Thread: V3 vs. Jessi, Post Your Opinions on Which One Looks Better... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't have Poser 6, but from reading through this thread and looking at all the images, I'd have to say I like the both of them...I get so bored with the same thing that I like the idea of having different types of characters to play with. I hope to get the newer version of Poser eventually, but till then, I'll just have fun browsing all the renders created with the newer figures...

Thread: Terri Schiavo Remembrance Page | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Please dear people...I never meant to start a thread that would turn into a 'fight'. I simply wanted to post a link to the image I created as my way of expressing the sadness of her loss. I had been watching her situation for well over a year now and had hoped that the two families would have found a way to solve their differences for Terri's sake. It seems it wasn't possible, but that doesn't mean that so many people wouldn't be hurt and saddened by her loss. Perhaps we can just let it go now and wish ALL who loved her peace and condolences. PS to Fazzel: Yes, of course there are millions of starving children in the world...many of them right here in the states. And there are people who are trying to save them and rightfully so - a never ending battle that may never be won. Please understand that Terri Schiavo was, for a lot of people, an icon for what we each personally stand for...be it on Michael's side or the Schindlers. I suppose it stirred so many people's emotions because we all have family and couldn't imagine being in such a tragic situation. But Terri's gone now and what we are left with is a lesson of love, hope and compassion. I know it sounds sappy, but it really truly is all we ever have on this earth.

Congrats on your first first Poser model freebie! :-D I think it looks fantastic and with or without a texture the fact that it will be for free is very generous of you! Thanks so much!
Thread: Giving Credit where credit is due? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As a rule of thumb...I try to always credit the free stuff. I try to always credit the purchased stuff. My reasons: 1) Free stuff are gifts. My credits are my way of saying thank you. 2)Viewers may see a purchased item and wonder which merchant it came from. While not required to do so, I list the credit because I want to give my viewers the info upfront so if they want to go get it, they can find it easily. "While I personally agree with everyone here. This site is a SHOP, nothing more" I don't agree with this statement. Yes, we have a store here, but I would NEVER have gotten so far in my 'work' had it not been for this awesome web site. I have IM'd artists NUMEROUS times with my dumb questions and have ALWAYS received supportive answers. I have combed through the tutorial sections here MANY MANY times and have found some of the most useful instructions ever. Both of these circumstances are due to the wonderful generosity of the artists here. I take my hat off to all these nice folks. I guess I feel it's [like] my responsibility to give back to others [and Newbies] in any way I can. For now, my "Pay-It-Forward" is through the credits I list, [and recently, my first freebies!]. Eventually, as my skills improve, I hope to contribute more. As far as the time it takes to list all the stuff? Yes, at times it can take me over an hour to nail down all the credits, but I feel it is very much worth it and will continue to do so. Also, I am getting much better at making sure I dump the 'Read Me' file for a product right into the library folder with the item. That way, I can just go to my program files, then to the Poser files and find the info easily. Or, sometimes, I put the 'Read Me' file right into the folder that is containing all the stuff I am using for a particular image. Credits for purchased items are a personal choice, but I feel it's the polite thing to do. I guess I'm just 'Old-Fashioned". [Or maybe just old! hehehe] Have a GREAT weekend all!
Thread: Using Freeware to create free stuff - OK or not? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Acadia, thanks for your post...it's nice to know that there are others who understand what it can mean to be so darned broke when it comes to a hobby. I'd get killed [OK, not REALLY killed!] if I spent a fraction of what I have read others spend on Poser. If I made money on my artwork, then I guess it'd be OK, but right now, my family only sees it as pure fun and therefore to them, it's kind of frivolis..of course to me it's SERIOUS work! But don't get me wrong, I do buy things from time to time, I mean I'd go CRAZY if I didn't!!! LOL LOL
Quote - I would love to be able to make my own textures, clothes and props, to give away no strings attached, but I don't feel comfortable enough in Poser yet.!
You and me both! I started creating backgrounds because it seems I always wanted something new for my renders and'taking' stuff from the web makes me feel bad...you know...cuz it is stealing...Thank goodness for the free backgrounds here and at other sites like this one! I think that you could probably make clothing textures if you have a texture map. If you familiar with PSP enough that you are able to make tubes, then you are talented enough to make textures! :-D That's my next goal...to make nice quality clothing textures. Eventually, I want to be able to sell some stuff to make money for my "hobby" while still offering free stuff too! For now...it'll all be FREE!!!! Best Regards to you Acadia! Now, let's go get creative and try our hands at making new free stuff!!! hehehe Hugz
Thread: Using Freeware to create free stuff - OK or not? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well...this was an interesting subject to be sure! Lots of differing opinions and thoughts. I guess what I have learned from all this is: 1) I will NEVER use ANYTHING that belongs to ANYBODY to create ANYTHING unless I want to use it for my OWN personal use - just in case...UNLESS they give me express permission. [Actually, I don't do that now, but I for sure won't in the future either!] I don't want/need anyone to get mad at me/sue me/hate my guts/feel like I stole from them! 2) ANYTHING I make as a 'FREEBIE' will be just that - Totally FREE for the user to use for ANYTHING - There's just no point in creating a freebie that has restrictions cuz I can't keep trying to keep an eye on 'my' stuff. Of course this won't/doesn't apply to any artwork I create and put my name on - that stuff is/would be my own. But I know how hard/expensive it is to make all thses renders and constantly need new stuff for fresh content. If you are familiar with any of my work, you'll see that I do keep using a lot of the same stuff over and over because I'm not made of money and can't afford to keep buying stuff...unless I let my kids go shoeless. Hmmmmm - there's a thought! Summer is coming and kids can go barefoot! LOL So what I am trying to say is that I am getting into making FREEBIES so that other poor folk like myself can get new stuff for their renders...AND if I put it in the free stuff, I don't want to put restrictions on how they may use the stuff! OK then...I am going to shut up now! LOL Hope all has a FAB weekend and thanks again for all your wonderful input into this subject!!! Best Regards, Vicki
Thread: Question on some items | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi again Acadia...I searched the Marketplace, [gosh, it's not easy to find gloves like the ones you want!] and found these: ........................................... Long Gloves for Victoria 3 by billy-t http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=2001 I believe you can remove the lacey top portion of the gloves because I saw a texture set by someone else for them and they didn't have the lace at the top edges. ........................................... Jatex Wishes & Dreams - "Hope" for V3 http://market.renderosity.com//softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=35473 ........................................... Sometimes it takes a lil' bit to get a response. I know there are times when I pop in here for a moment when I get a chance and I'll read an IM, but I may have to wait a while to get back to respond. Hang in there...hopefully, they'll respond to you within a day or two. In the mean time, I did a search for you, trying to see if I could find any gloves that are somewhat close to the ones you are looking for. If you go to http://iso.power.ne.jp/ , there are 2 sets of gloves. First, click on the "Project" link, upper left corner of the page. Then if you click the "Victoria" link, the top maid outfit has a set of short gloves...maybe you could find use for them? Then, click the "AnAn". The IDOL Dress has a set of long gloves. I hope that helps. Best of luck!! :-D
