Thread: WIP - Maybe for Challenge | Forum: Bryce
It looks like the man is falling - perhaps out of a ship doorway? Are the words 'Prisoner Transport'? Is the way of dealing with prisoners chucking them naked out of a ship ? Lin

This image is beautifully done. I feel that the review mirror image represents the rosy view of how we look at the past. The sun is shining, not a cloud in the sky and all is right with the world. However, looking forward the view is almost completely blocked off by the walk sign, the other buildings and the car itself. Not only does the sign not signal whether to walk or not, but the sideview mirror is completely blank, so we can't get any information from that either. I also noticed that the car seems to be completely enclosed, except for the side window which is only slightly lowered, so only a little bit of the outside world can get in. This keeps the inside of the car very separate from what is going outside (much like some of my fellow americans and the rest of the world). Lin

You might have to sneak in some little lights to brighten up your fairy. I'm not skilled enough to explain why this sort of problem occurs. I had a similar sort of problem and used lights myself to get the poser figure to look right. Lin

Thread: WIP any comments? | Forum: Bryce
Booze, pills and smokes... Spooky combination. I'm starting to wonder what's going on just outside of the picture. I quite like the decorative bottle. Perhaps make it slightly more glittery, like cut crystal? Also, do you want to slap a white label on the pill bottle to make it look like a prescription?
Thread: WIP, would appreciate comments please. | Forum: Bryce
This scene is very lovely, and very elaborate. Kudos for all your hard work, I think you should continue until you are satisfied. The only details I thought of were perhaps one or two ladies' fans, and maybe a little more detail on the some of the men's uniforms. Lin
Thread: Favorite types of images... | Forum: Bryce
I like still lifes, landscapes and sci fi/fantasy stuff as well. For me what it boils down to is whether I like something no matter what mood I'm in.
For example, I can appreciate nudity or near-nudity much better later in the day, but can't stand it during breakfast (not even the classics). Any thing with personal violence and/or gore is usually right out, although spaceships shooting at each other or distant explosions don't bother me quite so much. I probably would never have them in the living room, though.
Curiously, I have put three of my own pictures on the wall behind my computer monitor. On the other walls are a mola (Central American fabric art, origally used on clothing) and a copy of a still life by a not-very well known artist.

The scene may not be everything you wanted, but it shows off the cathedral beautifully. Is this a copy of an actual cathedral? Lin who is too lazy to do a web search to find out for herself. :)
Thread: Modeling using multi-replication only- I "Spheres day out". | Forum: Bryce
Nice work with the multi-replication. I will have to play with it myself. I have Bryce 4, and I don't seem to have metaballs on it. Is this something only available in Bryce 5? Lin
Thread: Assistance for the Poser-less..LOL | Forum: Challenge Arena
This could be fun. Do you have some sort of deadline you are trying to meet? Go ahead and send me descriptions also, and I will concoct a few things. My email is lsstrout@spiderwebsoftware.com Btw, do you need these figures posed in a scene, or do you just want them against a black background?
Thread: !!!!!!!!!!August Challenge Topic!!!!!!!!!! | Forum: Bryce
Please note that the August challenge is closed and voting has begun - see the main Bryce forum.
Voting, as I understand it, will run through Sept 5.
Then the winner will choose the new challenge topic, and we will all madly create our new beloved pictures only to find out someone's managed to do something completely stunning.
At this point I usually console myself with chocolate. :)
