Thread: Poser Locks Up During Render - Windows98 - a solution?......................... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oops... crossposted with bjbrown. Just to clarify that it doesn't make any difference to my "poser crash situation" how many apps I have running. Restart: fire Poser: load scene: render: crash! Can't wait to get home and whip out my stick! (Snurft!)

This could be it, Geep... I have this problem (as I'm sure you're aware). Coincedentally I had no crashes until I bumped up from 256Meg to 768Meg... hadn't made the connection, though. But I'm pained to take out my new stick! (Phnurk!) Other Apps REALLY appreciate it! (Sometimes have Poser, Bryce, Amapi, Amorphium, UVMapper, Explorer, PhiBuilder, PSP and more running at once!) Maybe ""upgrading"" to XP is the answer?? Or 2000? Anybody know which windows is best at managing large RAM?

That seems like a most sensible suggestion, Merlin. I think that a separate forum would be counter-productive... A free-for-all festival of consumerism. People like me on a limited budget would avoid it like the plague. labeling seems like a good compromise.

Great for 1st image... you're a natural. Tip... the knees may be "going funny" when loading a Schlabber pose because you need to turn off Inverse Kinematics for each leg before you load it up.... You probably know this already, though!! Keep on plugging!

Hey... Some moving stuff above. I'm Hogwarden... simple really! Real name Howard which means, you got it, Hog Warden or keeper of pigs. I don't really keep pigs or any farm animals! In fact I'm a veggie of 16 years! Hogwarden looks and sounds really ugly (I am actually ruggedly handsome) as a sig so I sign "Howie" on my pics.

Try using the grouping tool. (This won't solve the distribution problem and the posability of the model may be compromised). Create a new group for each feather and assign it a new material. Now export as an obj and you will be able to select each feather in UV mapper. :)

I'm working on an app which should be of use in solving this little problem with Poser4. "Poser Booost" is the unoficial early name for this application which will be integrated into the Poser interface. It will give additional control over categorising the libraries and selecting between them without having to do the file-jiggling and re-starting of Poser. It will bring an end to all problems with the intricacies of the Poser library browser. Hopefully. Anyone eager to Beta-test this app, please bear with us. It will be a while yet. Please note... SORRY SORRY SORRY PC only. or... any ideas on porting Delphi to MAC?
