There was a site mentioned in the Poser forum that had Poser textures. Jpg's can be converted to .mats, with some tweaking. It's been in the last week, wish I could be more helpful. Just look for the word 'link' in the threads. Or do a Google search, it might come up with something.

well, if you have your evidence, a warrant from the judge, the perp's known movements, and the element of surprise..oops, must not have read write..yeah, they usually are 'head and shoulders'..

now if you make your own imports, is that still as pure? I love the materials I can use in Bryce (I ought to, considering how many of the $%^ things I've downloaded..;) still getting a handle on lighting, etc. As far as I remember, the only import I have brought in is a guitar from Odeathoflife (but heaven knows I get my mileage out of it..;)
It's ok to specialize with one program, and if it floats yer boat, you can do anything you want. I don't think there's a 'right or wrong way' to make a good picture. You could probably work on a car engine with just a Swiss army knife and feel good about that, but I'd want the socket wrenches, testers, screwdrivers along to make things easier. I think it's more important to make good art. I feel guilty using Doga, 'cause it's so easy, but not guilty enough to stop using it..;)
As the only one in the Free World who doesn't have Photoshop, I don't do much postworking..;) The most important thing is, have you made a good picture?

have to agree with that last..I've only been here a year, and I think I've had about 250 sites so far that joined 'club 404'..;) A lot of these folks move, but the hosters don't forward you always. Still, you just have to strike a balance..

I still have mine somewhere..though most of my stuff looks like the '1st Bryce pic' to this day..;) I'll dig it up..

sheesh..with the job market nowadays..the last thing I'd fiddle with would be the company's logo..;) besides, it's more fun to rename icons, change admin rights, etc..;) Interesting idea tho...bwuhahahah..;)

of course, you could also darken the sky a bit for more contrast..

there are still some poor sods out there with monitors that can't handle 1024..bless their hearts ('bless their hearts' is Southern for 'I'm about to say something bad about someone'..;). Some folks with better eyes than mine can actually see 1024x1200, which looks like legal documents to me..;)
as for different sizes, I'm sure it's just been rendered at different sizes, each saved as a seperate file. Found Digital Blasphemy over a year ago..hadn't been by in awhile.
Only thing to remember is to check your image when rendering in large sizes; last one I did looks fine at 800x600..but there's a little too much 'undeveloped property' at 1024x768..;) make sure there's some 'picture' everywhere..;) Another thing might be to keep the complicated stuff from the left hand side of the pic (you don't have anything to worry about here), because for most folks, that's where the icons are..and have enough contrast from their normal colors, so they don't get lost..all I can think of on short notice..;)

I don't know if they're confined to Poser only, but Anthony Appleyard's site (he's a frequent contributor) has everything that gets wet, lotta scuba stuff, but he was working on a patrol boat..check his gallery, the link should be there (used to be www.demon.buckrogers.co.uk, or something like that. Name of the site was Space Storie).

well, must confess I had an idea for a Poser/Bryce picture sort of like this..using Relativity, the Escher painting (the whole things' available as a prop), with the Poser mannikins sitting and walking around, using laptops, and a Skeleton being escorted out with a Box by two Security mannikins, representing unemployment...probably get around to it once the garage gets on this side of 60..and I learn how to spell mannikin..'course if anyone wants to do it first..I just like the idea..;)

there's a site out there, it's German, with actual star maps, i.e., Vega's this way from Earth, 25 light years, and in this cluster. Found it through google, just don't remember where..maps for up to 250 light years away, if I remember. Thanks for the links..have to check them out.

mine's even worse than Zhann's.. but an uneducated guess is that it says something along the lines of You have reached (I think) download of a page of a Lycos member, something free For access to the file, you something visit the page of the member, and the URL...hmm..or run it through Babelfish..je nais san quios (told ya I don't speak French..;)
