wow..and I thought it was just my 'smart mouth'..yeah..it was getting silly..especially after all the pics I'd done. I'm impressed..I just got flamed the other day about my gallery..and yes, I went and looked, and yes, the flamer hadn't posted a pic..;) sorry, probably was another forum, inside joke..I'm not worried, but thanks all..hmm...better get working on the next one..;)

Has anyone actually gone to the Corel forums? I know there's a bunch out there, I was using Corel Draw 8 years before I got Bryce (Corel Dream will make you appreciate Bryce all the more..;). I know they've also got some business forums.
I wonder how much of the Bryce team has been 'assimilated' by Corel. It's possible that some of those guys have been sent to Draw, or..sob..even Word Perfect...;) Considering how many Bryce pics are out there, maybe we should let them know what Bryce is capable of..Corel, not Bryce..;)I'm still on the sharp endo of the learning curve vis-a-vis Bryce, but would be interested if they'd say something...

I saw a set of primitives, tubes, bends, etc., at this site. Now whether they were Bryce or not, I seem to remember they were, but not sure. There was an Android head in Freestuff about 6 months back, but not sure who made it. I think Dreampaint has some Xfrog-type stuff that might be modified, but not sure if that's what you want. 3ds max should be able to make anything you need, as long as you export it in something other than .max..;) .lwo, .3ds .dxf, ya know the routine.. hope this helpsI wish I'd said that.. What's tickling me to no end is that this is the 3rd time I've posted half of my pics, and still there's folks who think they're new..;) It does take a while to categorize..wonder if I should start adding up the 'hits' for an aggregate..;) hardly seems ethical..;)

uh..if the Bios is late enough, there may be a setting to set temperature alarms to a specific degree setting, to let you know. You could check. Depending on the model, the CPU is usually folded up into a module. Unless you're rated or certified on that laptop, I'd keep mum about opening it. It's possible that the fan has gone out on the laptop, which might be an easy fix, if you could get the part. I used to work on Dell Lattitudes, back in the day, but I think you're right, it's probably time to get a new PC. As for desktops, it depends on what you've got in your area. You could probably have one made to whatever specs you want by a local computer company. I don't know if I could fairly compare prices; I just put together a 1.7ghz Athelon, 512 Meg memory, 40 gig Hd, CD, and Floppy for about $US 600. The one time I went to England, the ads for software were about twice what we pay ($500 for Word Perfect 5.2, which dates me..;). Just make sure that if you choose this course, that the place is a)honest, and b) been around for awhile. Having a laptop means you can't recycle that much in the way of hardware, alas. As for software to check your temperature, I seem to remember seeing some out there. Here's a place to check for software utilities in General..can't make any promises.. the Simtel site has a lot of different categories, so check around. Do a Google search on Utilities, probably modify it by 'CPU temperature', or somesuch. Don't know if this helps, but I gave it a shot..;)I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

I also noticed a 'hobbyist' gallery..it's nice to have a home..;) Saw the new layout this morning..only thing that concerns me is it makes it that much easier to 'ignore' other galleries..unless you read..but it makes my work-based browsing easier. Heck Vasquez..I'm on T3 at work, and Cable modem at home, and sometimes it takes me 2 minutes to get the 'chic pics'..know what you're saying.

There's a few in Sci-Fi, though I haven't been as moved..and old stick in the mud am I..;)I've got a soft spot for Heinlein, who's done a few female characters, though he's not so 'PC' nowadays..when Dickens was publishing his novels in the mid-19th century, they were serialized in magazines, and folks would head to the wharf to see if the latest installment had come in. There was a campaign to save, I think, 'little Dorrit? Dora?', and folks were crushed when she died..so it's nothing new..;)

hmm..if you want to expand on 2d, I have a book called 'Drawing Comics the Marvel way', real good on how to do body proportions, shading, coloring, etc. It was an oversized paperback that came out in the 70's. It could give you a framework to start with.
