Basic one, her unmentionables are still expensive. How on earth did I manage to mistype 'magazine' so impressively?

Actually Daz have got a seperate thread in which they are encouraging disgruntled Studio purchasers to suggest solutons to this. You really should get your fact straight before bad-mouthing people, durf.Thread: V5 Free offer in latest 3dWorld mag | Forum: DAZ|Studio
3D Artist magaze in the UK has the elite V5 texture on its cover disk, if you want the pair.

I got the V4/M4 morphs free on Imagine magazine (yay!) and once I started popping a little bit of V4 in with the V5 morph she started looking really nice!Â
The skin that came with V5 (Bree?) is pleasant enough and having the 'supermodel' morph in the Genesis mix is fun - add them to a muscley man and you get great 'hero' types.
Oh, and she has a much better bum than V4 (shoudl I say Genesis has?), thank goodness for that, V4's bugged me.
Thread: Poser or DAZ? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I use both. Originally a Poser user (since Poser 2) but lately I am using Daz more and more.
The main points for me are:
Poser (currently using 7) - I know this better so know how to get quicker results. The dynamic hair and cloth are very good (with practice) and about to get Poser Pro 12 for Christmas (mainly because Amazon had it for a mentally low price a couple of weeks ago on preorder, I snapped!) I am looking forward to the new weight rigging and skin handling - I am told there is a lot of improvement on my aging version 7. I also use Poser because it imports wonderfully to Vue 8, which I use a lot.
Studio (4 Advanced) - I am very new to this. I find it quicker to set up a figure/clothes than Poser but I haven't sussed the lights and shaders so not really getting the best renders yet. The new Genesis figure is BRILLIANT, I am really impressed with it. Being able to fit clothes from a range of figures (and fit them quickly and well) is a massive boon. It morphs quickly and easily and is particulary great if you do fantasy renders - making trolls and goblins is more fun than it should be.

Get the trials/free version and have a really good play. Their interfaces are very different, so find which you feel most at home with too.

L$ is Linden dollars, the in-game currency. You get paid a weekly stipend as a member which you can spend in the Second Life World (Linden). You can earn more by selling stuff you have made (hence the poser bit, or textures etc) or joining the huge number of events. You can even convert the Linden dollars you have earnt into real live American dollars (not a 1 to 1 exchange rate I might add though).

Ah! I saw a box in my local Computer shop and thought it looked like your HER on the front. Now I know. Well she is cool, so no wonder they used her!

If it helps - move body parts with the dials not the tools. I could never get to grips with those tools. Just double click a body part and the dials come up.

I am so in love! She is great. Her 'realistic' face is lovely too. I have to admit that when I did the maths I had to get the Professional packsge (does that make me a professional artist now? snigger ) Gotta go, got piccys to render.....

So glad I checked here - I was going barmy wondering why I couldn't get in! I have suddenly become unable to pick up my email via Outlook so I thought the two were connected.
