Thanks to everyone for the responses. I've tried the boolean route and the squashed tear drop and I've got close but not quite what I wanted. I'll have a look at the moroccan things that Daz have for sale.
Bec, I'd love those meshes. Can you tell me what you did in Wings (I've used it but not for a while) to get those as they look great.

Thanks.
Can I turn the Parent Object Name on and off during an animation? If I want to track to a certain point and then move the object and the camera apart?

Quest, thanks, yeah the music is my band, pleased you liked it.
Bobby, thanks for the critique. I'll be honest some of the black edits were there for purely artistic reasons and a couple are longer than I'd like but trying to work out what to put in and where was a bit awkward.
I had real battles with the floor in that room, trying to make the floor small enough that the room looked as huge as I wanted (I wanted it to be a cross between the Blue Mosque and the Sulimanie Mosque, both in Istanbul) but large enough to render without being both slow and giving me crawlies was really difficult. I wasn't really entirely happy with what I got but having spent nearly 24 hours rendering when I worked that out I felt I had to try to save it somehow.
Now all I have to do is work out which tune to do the next video for and which of the bits I've created will best fit it.
Thread: Slightly OT: OS, and which would you choose? | Forum: Bryce
I like XP a lot. I dare say that Vista will be great in a year to 18 months but at the moment I'm not going to risk it. If it works fine then great but if something goes wrong for my money it's more likely to go wrong on a new OS and you're more likely to get a quick fix on an older OS.
Thread: Never to old to ask for advice. Bryce and Vista | Forum: Bryce
Don't know about Vista but I'm running Bryce 6.1 on a dual core. 6.0 ran fine and seemed to use both processors, on 6.1 you get a render option and if you set the priority option to high then it uses both cores, on medium it only uses one.

That is awesome, took me a while (after reading the instructions) to realise it's taken from directly above.
Thread: is there a trick to this or am I totally clueless? | Forum: Bryce
Of course having pointed that out I noticed you said you were using 5.5 and not 6 so it might not work but you could always give it a try.

What you can do is put a sphere in and make it positive. Then put a different shape (cube sounds like an idea to me) inside it small enough that it doesn't push through the edges. Group it and I think you should be able to convert and then export it.

Zhann - 3 pts (I thought Bryce was built for SF)
ICM - 2 pts
Burpee - 1 pt
I really liked Thandaluz's banner but wasn't so keen on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place graphics.
