Carrara 2.0 has Digital Carvers Guild's Toon! built into it. If you select the scene and click the Filters button you can add a Tool! filter to the scene. Brian

I think the idea is that you will use AMAPI 7 to create your objects, then export them to Carrara 2 for rendering. If you need to edit an object you've imported, simply make the necessary modifications in A7 and click the Update button. BTW, I have discovered that Carrara 2 can not hande objects with Dynamic Geometry. You have to reduce the DG before exporting to Carrara. Brian

On a PC it is to hold down the Control key while dragging. I believe this translates to the option key on a Mac? Brian

Which version of Windows are you running? Are you on a network? Are you using a compressed drive or folder? It is possible that if you are running NT, 2000, or XP that there is a problem with the security settings that is preventing the files from being opened by Poser. Brian

I just received AMAPI 7 yesterday, so I haven't worked with it too much yet. However, I did try the Carrara Bridge to see if it works. From what I can see it appears to be working. When you double-click on the object you made with AMAPI it tells you to change the file with AMAPI and click the "update" button. I did this a couple of times and had no issues, but the object wasn't overly complex. Brian

I am trying to create a character (or characters) using Victoria 2, but the CR2 is rather large. The procedure I have in mind (roughly) is: 1. Create the character by setting the morph dials, etc. 2. Export the figure as an OBJ 3. Re-import the OBJ and turning this into a poseable figure 4. Using Morph Manager or the Pro Pack to apply only those morphs that are absolutely necessary (elbow fix, etc.) In this manner I could create a "barbarian" character that no longer required the morph target(s) data in the CR2 file. I tried going into the Setup room and clicking on the Victoria 2 button, but this loaded all of the morph targets again! Of course, I could not distribute a character made like this for obvious reasons. Or is there an easier way?

I recently purchased Exotica & Hankim's Falcon, spectre3's Shawn & Brad, and LadyJaiven's Men Of Power. Men of Power does not include textures, but it is a new set of faces with bonus light sets. Falcon, Brad, and Shawn are all exceptionally well done. I think you would be very happy with any of them, though Falcon does include a free Stephanie version of the textures.Brian

Much of what was in the Pro Pack is built into P5 (such as Python Scripting). The CL web site does say that the plug ins will be available for P5 in the future. However, I expect that they want to get the main program debugged before they update the plug ins. Brian

I would be most interested in clothing and clothing textures for Mike. Aside from the clothing packs available from DAZ3D there are only a few "normal" clothing packages that I've come across. Most are sci-fi/fantasy clothing items. All of which are nice, but I am interested primarily in business or business casual items. I also agree with textures and morphs for the animals. And, of course, clothing items and textures for DSI's Dina. Thanks, Brian

You might also look at Mike's Changing Fantasy Suit which is available at DAZ3D. I believe that it and a number of texture sets are available for $1.99 in the Platinum Club. Brian
