Helgard, That's a fantastic project you're doing! Am very interrested in it, as I'm a history buff from way back. Don't know how much I can offer in the way of help, but, do have access to pics of the patches (including "Ghost Units") from the period if you want them. Also, my site has the medals as Poser props that you could provide a link to (they are free to anyone who wants them). IM me when you get the chance. Keep up the good work. kuroyume0161, I'm mainly concentrating on the US medals right now. I do have pics of around 600 Medals and Awards from several other countries, including Germany. Hadn't considered doing them, but will see what I can do. Phantast, yes, they are free to do with as you please. No limitation on commercial or non-commercial use. I put no restriction other than someone claiming as their own work. These are my "gift" to the Poser community.

Thread: Anyone here use an external hard drive for poser??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi, I have Poser5 on an external USB2 WD 160 Gb Hard Drive and have no problems at all with it. The only things on the USB drive, are Poser5, my Poser Runtimes and ALL the Poser stuff I have purchased/downloaded over the past 4 years. I can take the drive to work and plug into my 'puter there and run Poser with minimal slowdown. Hope this helps. Robin

Howdy y'all. Thanks for all the kind comments, made my day. I have started purchasing the US Medals (as a collection), and have scanned in the 80 some that I have as of today. As I told cedarwolf, I am re-doing the medals on the site using the scanned in pics of the original medals. This weekend, I will be giving my daughter the Pre-WWII campaign medals to put on the site. As I get the other medals done, they will be going up on the site also. I will also have some of the medals awarded to civilians by the various departments of the US Government. I have been able to find several people who have medals for sale, and will continue to add to both my collection and the site. Please feel free to visit and download to your heart's content. This is my little way of saying thanks to all Vets and everyone in the Poser community. Yeah, I'm a Navy vet myself. 10 years in the service from '72 to '82. I have most of the US Military Medals available for download at my site. Not the best in the world (am a newbee at modeling), but haven't found medals anywhere else for Poser. They are free to do with as you feel, and there's also a PDF book which gives info on each medal: when authorized, criteria for award, etc. Hope these help you out.Robin

Glad everyone likes the medals! As for uniforms, the one in the pic is from PoserWorld. PhilC has a set of Army DBUs and a set of Sailor Bells for Dork and Mike 1&2. Do a search here in the MP, and there are several other uniforms available, including a Navy outfit from the 1800'. (Don't remember off hand who made it). There are several other uniforms of various branches of service available at other sites, but haven't found any WWI or Spanish American War uniforms. (Hint to all you modellers out there). If enough people want/use these medals, am thinking of making the unit patches and rank badges also. Have to see what kind of responce these get. Anything that goes up on my site will be free to use anyway you want. Don't need permission to use in commercial renders, just "say hey" and let me know that they were/are helpful to you. Robin

Thanks, glad you like them. The Naval Officer's uniform is by Steve Shanks at PoserWorld. He also has a WWII Army WAC uniform for Vicky, and several other undress type uniforms. He's to blame for the Medals Collection, couldn't have Vicky wearing a uniform with no decorations. grin

Still have the Medal of Honor to make (don't know how to make a conforming figure yet), and to put up the medals other governments award to US Servicemen.
Later this fall, I hope to put up the US Medals dating from the Civil War to the beginning of WWII.
Have fun and enjoy!

If you still need a beta tester, I'd be willing to help out. Have Poser5 on a Win2K system. Robin

Haven't tried adjusting that yet. Will try on the pic I'm working on now and let you know.

Yeah, same problems here. Also, when using "Texture Filtering", the "seams" on the body tex really show up. To take care of the antialiase problem, change the "Pixels Samples" size to 6 or better. Works everytime. Hope that helps a little. Peace Robin
