I'm thankful for my family, friends and the digital art community as well as having food on the table, a warm place to sleep, medical care through the VA, and of course my furry & feathered family.

I may get aggravated at times but it's like that with any family and I feel like this site is my second family. I love it and the opportunity Renderosity gives me to express my creativity.

Hi, I don't want to bother anyone, but I still haven't received my serial number. I just checked my email and no response, and my account still shows as the screenshot I posted yesterday. I'm not sure what to do. Please help, I'd really like to use the program.

If you click on your 'My Account' there are several tabs across the top of your screen in white with grey lettering click on Item List. My serial numbers for Poser 11 Pro showed up when l looked at Poser 11 Pro under item list. In the image below I had to scroll quite a bit to get to it so the item's list search box is cut off. But you can specifically search Poser 11 in your item's list if it is long. The search box shows up just below all the white tabs and or above the start of your item list.

Try contacting the vendor themselves, give them the order number and they can sometimes reach staff faster.

Blender = Mix (under Mathematical. Alpha is the equivalent of Blending, Base the equivalent of Input 1 and Layer the Equivalent of Input 2.

FBM I'm not sure if there is a direct equivalent, but the enries under textures would be the most likely place to look.

The DS Default Material is optional - it's a single brick that encapsulates the DAZ Default shader, so the settings more-or-less match that. You can however dispense with it and handle your own integration of diffuse, specular, translucency etc. to give final colour and opacity values for the pixel.

Yes, displacement has its own root brick, though bricks can if necessary send output to multiple roots, so you don't need to double-up common elements.

Remember that all of this applies to 3Delight, not Iray.

In what program are you using to make the seamless pattern?

I have never used dynamic anything either but I quickly picked up this script. I took me about 5 seconds to figure it out. I did a quick test draping a small grid over a mouse. I think this script is amazing.

I purchased that light set (shader set) when it was first released and at that time 4.9 wasn't available and I don't think the 4.8 beta was out at the time. I could be wrong about that. I use it in 4.8 on one machine and in 4.9 on another machine. It's not actual lights but shaders that adds emitting light settings to your material zone you want to apply it to. When you render in Iray, you get really great effects when tinkering in the render settings using the bloom filter controls.

As far as being able to use anything new without upgrading, I'm not sure. I think it depends on to many variables right now. I do know that many products being released at this moment may have been made in 4.8 because some products take a while before they 'release' them into the market.

Another thing to look at is that in Iray Render settings the gamma is set to 2.2. If the actual texture on your object isn't set to 2.2 your results won't look so good. To adjust the gamma in Iray surface settings or even 3Delight click on the image in the diffuse color channel, select image editor, and in the pop up adjust the gamma. Or adjust the gamma in the render settings to match that of the gamma set on the textures of your figure.

But like the others mentioned, lighting and environment setup is also very important.

@Tirenzi3D I use that trick in the link you mentioned alot. It really does work. A lot of my promo images were done using that trick.

Here is a screen shot of how to save a static prop or smart prop. If you are wanting to save it as a smart prop make sure the prop is parented to that figure at the time you save it as a smart prop.

I just noticed that in all vendors stores I visited items marked as clearance has the yellow coupon icon next to the clearance price which means no coupons accepted. However in the same stores I browsed items not marked as clearance have the green coupon icon which means coupons accepted.

I suspect that they forgot to turn off coupons not allowed on clearance items which in turn means the coupon can't be applied. However I am a prime member so that might have an affect on the clearance items being marked that way for me. Even so it would be nice to know if we do get to use the soon to run out coupon on clearance items like the email stated.

Could a non-prime member possibly pick a few vendors and look at their clearance items and non clearance items to see if the coupons are different (yellow & green) or if they are the exact same.

That looks like Poser judging from the ground in the picture. Like gmm2 said it could be low memory or the normals on the object have somehow been reversed.

.lmh stands for Look At My Hair. It's a preset for adding the realistic fur using the the Look At My Hair script for Daz Studio. Where those files go really depends on what version of Daz Studio you are using.
