OK Guitta - ;^) You can go & enjoy the rest of the evening with your friends now, I finally got everything to work. I just did a complete uninstall of ALL ITEMS/Vue 4, did a reinstall of Vue 4, then installed the latest Vue 4.12 upgrade patch over top of the original install, rebooted, & all is working now. I have no idea what happened the 1st time??? Anyway, thankyou very much for your help & you have a great evening. I'll be talking to'ya later . . . . . Mark. . . . . ;^)

I'm sorry Guitta, it didn't work. When I open Vue, & try to create a new scene, all the little preview windows are black. So, I can't go any further with Vue. . . . . Mark. ;^)

Hi Guitta, 8^) No, not the 4 windows of the Vue 4 main screen, only the small preview windows of the atmospheres, object, etc. Sorry'bout not saying that in the 1st post. ;^) I'll check back in a moment for your answer gabe, thanks in advance . . . . . Mark. ;^)

Thread: Question about texture... | Forum: Vue
Hi Tradivoro . . . It looks like paper to me. I like the texture you used. Did you use the texture for bump as well, or no bump on the paper? Have a good one . . . Mark.

I once talked to someone at Eovia, last year, about the same thing. Their reply was: They are two different programs, with different approaches to what each one does, so they have no plans for merging them into one program. As Keithw stated in his post, I'm sure sales & profits have a lot to do with it. If I had two or more programs on the market, I wouldn't want to combine them into one . . . PROFITS would shrink by 50 %, by combining the two. Just my opinion . . . Mark.
Thread: How do I do this | Forum: Photoshop
I don't own, nor have I ever used any poser software, but in any of the 3D rendering software that I do use, I always save my final rendered image as a .bmp file. That way I know that I can always load it into PhotoShop without any problems. I don't know if this will help you or not, but I'm sure someone with poser software will give you a more accurate answer. Good luck . . . Mark.

I'm using Windows 98SE, & when my icons start acting up, such as your describing, I use a program called "Tweak UI" for repairing them. Hope that'll help'ya some . . . Mark.

Another thing you can do is to use the same image for a bump map, it takes a little adjusting as far as the amount of bump to show, but in the final image it seems to add a little more 3D to the alpha plane. Also, in your image, all the legs are on the same level where they go into the snow. If you could somehow adjust something to make the legs go into the snow at different levels, I think it would help look a little more 3D. Just my thoughts & good luck . . . Mark.

Morning DeeVee . . . nice to see you here. I agree with everything said so far, so there isn't much I can add. But, I have to be honest with you . . . this forum is much different than that (other) forum your used to! The people on this forum WILL REALLY help you, if you ask. On that other forum your used to, every body tells every one how wonderful your image is, whether it is or not, over there it sounds like a broken record. Here, the people will tell you the truth, good or bad, so as to try to help. And, they will explain in detail the answers to your questions, if they have the knowledge to do so. They won't answer you by telling you to search through the (quick links)! I think you'll find a lot of experienced & very friendly Vue users here, so continue to post your work & ask your questions . . . I'm sure you'll be pleased. Have a good one . . . Mark. PS: ( With your interest in scenery art, you'll be amazed what you can do with Vue, compared to anything else you've tried using. )
Thread: Problem with 4.11 | Forum: Vue
I too have the same preview window problem, with the new 4.11 upgrade. The settings for the preview window display have no effects on this problem. During the beta testing of 4.11 I did notify E-on of this problem, so I'm sure they are aware of it, & are working on a fix. Have a good one & Happy Holidays . . . Mark.
