Well all though i dont use Photoshop, i use Adobe Imagestyler, PSP and Universe Image creator instead! There are just some things Bryce cant do! Engine lighting and motionblur for example. 2D picture imports are out of the question for me when it comes to engine flares. You dont get the same effect as the ones made directly in Universe! I always do all the modeling, enviroments, DOF etc in Bryce and postwork the above! I have no limits and use whatever i need to get the image done! But i still like a challenge though... :)

This doesnt necessarily have to be our galaxy! Shadowdragonlord may very well have discovered a new one here! So, what are you going to call it? :) Great starfield! Love those gas clouds!

Thread: Programs that model like bryce? | Forum: 3D Modeling
Bryce isnt that hard to model with! Once you get the basics, youll be doing great stuff in no time! When it comes to rendering... Sure, one could wish for more effects, but it can still create excellent renders. It mostly depends on the artist. But yes, its darn slow...:(

Thread: Who uses bryce for landscape images anyway? | Forum: Bryce
"Why try to force a program to be different." Well, you can learn a great deal in the process! Ive seen a lot of Bryce works, that would give "high end people" a little slap in their faces! And i do not talk about landscapes. (When it comes to landscapes, i havent seen anyone beat Hobbits works. No matter which app!) Also, Bryce is one of the easiest programs to work with and quite cheap. For me, to stop trying to push some limits, would be to stop progressing as an artist! Ill second derjimi in this!

Oh yeah! A great abyss! The light coming from beneath is excellent! Thats exactly the tricky part in creating great depths. You just got to have lighting to make the objects/surroundings visible, but if its to bright, it doesnt look deep. But youve pulled this of just great! BTW, ive just IMd AgentSmith about that banner. Can understand if it creates some confusion :)

Already??? :) Very nice piece, and the connection to Atlantis fits right in! A nice touch! :) I would soften up the lighting some, and maybe put some haze in the pic, but its just a suggestion.

Well...hmmm. An abyss is usually located at great depths so... But, for example, a view from a pod etc could be a solution... The point with the challenge was to create an underwater scene, but im sure youll come up with a genial solution... :)

Thanx! The texture is simply a jpg. 2048x2048 large,so its not "locked" to bryce alone!
