Include a thumbnail. Usually I'll remember to save it from the web site but I find 'em useful to help me remember, and browse, the collection of downloads.

This may be oversimplifying it: It's a curved plane! It would be foolish to think that anyone that models one (even for their personal use) would be violating copyright laws. I think Blackhearted is right.

I saw a tutorial a few months back that explained a post-rendering process using Photoshop. From what I recall it was a lot like what AprilYSH mentions and would probably be useful, however; I don't remember where I saw it--could have been within this forum--might try a search.

By "signed" I believe the intent is for the artist to personally sign the artwork -- a limited edition print -- which generally means more value to collectors. "Unsigned" would still have your moniker but incorporated in the printing process. I look forward to seeing this project unfold.
Thread: Water Dropplets | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I haven't used the water dropplet program but I have played around with the fur-fur program some time ago which I believe is similar. As I recall you select the object you want to put droplets on and type "hair" (an undocumented poser function). Fiddle around with the settings, export the object and run it thru the droplet program...I think. The fur-fur program may be better documented and can probably give you some insight on how to use the droplet program. Hope that helps.

As a poser artist yourself, can you give us an idea of what a typical image would need to be rendered at to get the quality you're looking for?

Here's another tip for archiving all those files you download. Save a copy of the thumbnail associated with the downloaded file, making sure to name it the same, and make a "catalog" of all the stuff. I recently started using thumbs plus to make contact sheets of all the thumbnails. Comes in real handy.

There are no nice manuals; however, you can find some great tutorials here and throughout the Poser community.Thread: Tears in my Poser Models | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You could try setting the "Use Limits" function under the figure menu to limit the range of motion if you haven't already tried it; otherwise, you probably need to get smart (and real patient) with joint parameters to fix your problem.

Here's a workaround for the axis problem. Creating a transparent box (or sphere, or whatever from the primatives) and point at that. Then move your box around to get it to point where you want.

Ron, Think of the one in the render option as a toggle rather than a setting. Either render with your shadow settings active (checked), or not (unchecked). For final renders you probably want this checked to get reveal your shadows. I usually uncheck the shadow box when I want to do a quick test render since it will render faster.
Thread: What is the best strategy for Rendering and Saving? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If I understand your concern correctly, you're looking for render/saving settings to satisfy your two primary desires: to save a great pic and for contest submission. I assume you mean to save in the best resolution you can get and at a compressed size to upload. If I got that right, I would only concern myself with resolution--a great pic to save. I ALWAYS render/save at best resolution, usally tiff format (I refer to it as an archive master). From a pic editior, you can adjust the master and save it separately to meet the other (contest) requirements.
