Anthony, I wanted to take advantage of this post to thank you for all the great models you've provided for Poser users. Your work is unique and much appreciated.

So far, almost everything I've heard about Vista is negative. Sorting through all the posts I've read on several boards, it seems at this point that Vista is only really useful to users who don't expect much from their pc's other than the most basic functions. Resource intensive programs perform poorly, when they work at all. Perhaps a future barrage of service packs may solve the problems, but that's going to take a while. If the past is any reliable indication, we may be talking years.

I've wondered that myself. I exchanged emails with him about six or seven months ago, and had a difficult time understanding his English. I just hope he's just been very busy, rather than ill or something. He's a fine man. Not many would offer so many beautiful, useful creations for free when he could just as easily have sold them.

I agree with kawecki and Gaby. In the last few years it seems my country ( USA ) has descended into a new era of McCarthyism. Free speech, in all its forms, is withering under such a never ending barrage of politically motivated assaults by fanatic special interest  groups that it is in danger of disappearing altogether.
People are actually being jailed, harassed or driven into bankruptcy for saying, writng, or graphically representing an idea that somebody somewhere claims to find offensive. In my own home town, an eighteen year old severely mentally retarded boy was arrested and jailed for uttering a racial epithet in the presence of some minority students while they were boarding a bus. This child has the I.Q. of a five year old, and had no idea the word he used was in bad taste. He was just repeating a term he'd picked up from a movie or an overheard conversation. But that didn't stop the local "justice" system from putting him in handcuffs and locking him in a jail cell when a complaint was lodged. Because his parents are poor and could not afford to hire a lawyer or post bond, the boy spent several days held prisoner in an unfamiliar, hostile, frightening world he could not understand. Thanks to public outcry the charges were eventually dropped, but I wonder what would have happened if no one had protested this outrage?
Those who own and control the Renderosity site have every right to regulate the content that appears in the medium they pay for. This is not a publicly owned resource, but an asset of a financial enterprise. But does having the ability and legal right to enforce a policy justify its use? In this instance, I do not believe it does. After all, we are dealing here with graphic artistic representations, not reality itself.

Thumb cropping is an ancient method of enforcing discipline or punishing an enemy. Almost all ancient cultures employed it at one time or another because it made it impossibe for a foe to wield a weapon.
Just be thankful that the Mongols aren't running Rendo, or they'd be boiling you in oil after lopping off your naughty bits.

This whole rhubarb started over the new policy forcing images to be cropped of any potentially offending naughty topography. What's that I hear? The twang of bowstrings and the pounding of horse's hooves?

Of course, yet this is confusing to several factors because such images identified as pictures cannot reasonably be associated with the skills acquired by others with lesser or worseter means to achieve them, regardless of  factors beyond their control. Da Vinci most often employed tracing paper when draw making his famous wall plaster cartoons, but were his hands stained with anything but paint, and perhaps also slippery olive oyl when his fingers had been naughty?
So let us retire the questions which seek to be enlightening of this drama, for one must be sure to difference making between what is plagarism of thematic processes and simple recapitualtion of form. In the final urinalysis, one may liken this situated event to revelers consuming far too much aromatic soft cheese before attending a soiree hosted by Germans a playing violins without cellos accompanying, then complaining of an off key harpsichord making a stink offensive!
