Sydney G2, hands down. It's just a shame that so little is made for her:(

Thread: OT: P6 "jessi" makes the front page of CG society | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
YAY FOR POSER!!!
Okay, I apologize for the shouting, but I had to get that out
Is it bad that I actually kind of like the way Jessi looks? Not an ordinary human in the least, but I don't mind how she looks. I removed the dark circles from under her eyes on her face texture in Photoshop once, and it looked much better. I wish I was tolerable at making skin textures so I could make her a better one...

Thread: Get rid of the Clearance policy | Forum: Suggestion Box
I agree that the Clearance policy shoudĀ be reconsidered. I agree with BionicRooster that it's very intimidating to have products disappear if they don't happen to be selling right at that time, especially to vendors who make less popular (but still desired) styles of content.
Also from the point of view of a customer--I'm apparently one of the people who doesn't buy the content that seems to have mass-market appeal (i.e. the almost-invisible V4 "fantasy" wear). I'm also into some older and/or less popular figures, and I've often wondered how much content I would have gladly bought had it not died a quiet death before I could find it.

Thread: Magnetize to V4 makes everything fall to pieces? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I model in Wings 3D, and I've experimented with grouping there. It's a little tricky, though, because as far as I can tell it doesn't directly support polygon groups. I've had to use different materials to establish the groups, so it throws a kink into my plans when I want materials zones that are different from the body part groups. I'm sure there's a way, I just don't know it.

Wow, sorry it's taken me this long to get back here! I had forgotten all about this post.
The colors do not represent the groups; the actual hip/thigh grouping looks like the picture markschum posted. However, I think you guys have put me onto what is wrong... I grouped the jumpsuit with OBJ2CR2, and the backside of the group looks like the front. Now that I look atĀ Vicky's grouping, the thighs come up higher in the back than they do in the front. I'm guessing that there is a magnet in either the hip or the thigh that is set to only affect that body part, however, it's affecting polygons it shouldn't because the group contains polygons it shouldn't.
I'll have to go in and regroup it. sigh I have no idea how people rig anything from scratch. Vicky and her joints can go fly a kite right now as far as I'm concerned.

Thread: Poser 7 morphing tool: making it stay on the thing I want morphed... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Add me to the list of people who love the morph tool!
If any of you have access to a drawing tablet, try using it with the morph brush. Most fun I've had with Poser in weeks!

I'm still working on that head... I had trouble with the UV mapping, too, but I finally got that worked out. Hopefully I will have the textures finished today and I'll PM you a download link!
I think that for the braid, you can get the textures a lot smaller than 1024 without it looking repetitive, assuming that the seams work out okay. A long column of hair like that, if you think about it, really looks pretty much the same all the way down. All the twists and turns mean that you can have even more repetition and no one will notice.

Thread: Long Posable Braid | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm hoping to have the single-braid headĀ finished by tonight... I'll PM you a download link when I get it finished. I can do pigtails too, but they'll take a little longer If you want to send me a download link for the braid files, I can make some materials for it to match the head (assuming that it is UV mapped).

Could you post a picture of where the ponytail joins her hair in the back? That will be helpful for making a texture that lines up with the ponytail.

Thread: poser 8 recommended stuff or poser 8 only. P7 being left behind. sigh | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Good thing you mentioned that--I have the room/corridor construction set in my wishlist and I didn't even realize it recommended Poser 8. As another Poser 7 user, I feel your pain! Right now I'm wishing that I could use Miki 3. I don't understand how Poser 8 and Pro 2010 got so popular, so quickly. I was thinking about sidegrading to Pro 2010 during the last series of sales, but the price killed that idea pretty quickly... Ugh.
Vendors, if you're reading this--please, keep supporting Poser 7! There's still plenty of us out there to buy P7 content!

I could try my hand at making a head for it... what sort of hair in front do you want? (i.e. bangs, no bangs, poufy, slicked back...)

Thread: Deco 3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'd seen Deco in toon renders, but I hadn't seen her in a 3D render before. She's cute! I may end up downloading her. I have a half-finished Photoshop painting that I want to duplicate in 3D and I need an anime-ish figure that's a little more "serious" looking than Aiko 3.

Thread: Cloth Room question--Decorated Groups | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Awesome, thanks Phil I'm making a dress with several clasps holding the front closed, but I didn't want to go to the trouble of modeling them if they wouldn't survive the simulation.
