Thread: Are there any plans about a new Ozone version? | Forum: Vue
Thanks for this valuable hint. I use Cinema 4D R11 at the moment, but plan to upgrade to R11.5 next month. Tested Ozone 4 and found it quite nice, but there seems to be no need to get it, till I can't use it next month any more. That's too bad. I assume that Vue 8 xStream will work, unfortunately it's too expensive, just for an atmosphere.

Quote - PS all interested, IÂ figured out how to get XP to allow Carrara to use all 2gb of RAM it can.
I'll post about that soon.[/quote
Thanks in advance. Hope to hear that soon.

I also bet on Vue. Their ecco-system and atmosphere is just what's missing and with xStream they already have a first step of integration.
Carrara went the route of Daz content and that's of no value for autodesk.
Thread: Size of V4.2 in Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - My big discovery recently with the female figures is that scaling the thigh and shin down is better with the "scale" dial as opposed to the "y-scale" dial... this scaling combined with a negative value on stretch if that is available... the arms must be scaled as well and I sometimes y-scale the abdo. With Poser rescaling the head is a given IMHO.
Any ideas on the values?

Yes, I saw that in another thread that someone mentioned to set the leg length morph from V4 to 0.65 to get more realistic proportions.

Quote - Human beings have one basically common measurement. If you take two parallel lines, one at the top of a person's head, the other at the point of a person's chin, it's going to be about 9 inches (23 cm) no matter how large or small that person is. (standard adult, no precluding medical conditions)
I adjusted the size of various female Poser characters (no anime) so they all adhered to the 9 inch standard. here is the resulting list of their actual heights and the percentage I had to adjust them:
The sizes with the head adjustments really makes sense to me. Thanks for the comparison!

Attached Link: Poser Units
Found a quite good information regarding Poser sizes. Thought I best share it with you.Thread: Size of V4.2 in Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wow, that's even taller. If you want to make props for V4.2, they should have the right size. It would be great, if there is a specification for Poser Native Units.
Thanks anyway...
Thread: 32Bit vs 64Bit | Forum: Carrara
I have Poser and Carrara 5&6 running on a dual core 4Gig XP Pro x64 and it works like a charm. I really can recommend it. The only thing I miss is a DVD RAM packet driver.
Waiting for a 64bit Carrara version...

Seems to have been a glitch. Windows link was also broken, but 10 minutes later it worked.
Thanks for the information.
Thread: Victoria 4.0 - 4.1 - 4.2 - What is the change history | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks RAMWollff and coldrake for the detailed information. I wonder in what kind of troubles I run, when using the 3rd party characters with V4.2. They expect some morphs to be embedded and won't inject them with the pose file. Hmmm, wonder how this works out...
So A4 will be a morphed V4.2, or will it be remapped too, like A3 was remapped compared to V3?

They make V4.2 a big thing at Daz, without telling us, what will be different. I don't have time to risk my runtime, because V4.2 works different. Let's wait until others find out about the flaws of V4.2.
