@ bagginsbill
The 3 renders of the female figure show the classic shredding of the edges of the render that I mentioned in a couple of other threads.
I may be wrong.... but I don't think anybody confirmed that SM were aware of the problem.
Do you know if this will be fixed in SR1..?

Quote - I have Render Studio working fine in Poser 7 SR3 and Poser Pro SR1.
Ditto. Also runs fine in my Poser 7 and Poser Pro and... Poser 8.

Quote - You only need to Set Figure Parent before Conforming if you are trying to conform the clothing figure to a figure whose size you have altered from that which the clothing figure was originally designed to fit.
What's wrong with conforming to a resized figure, then going into the clothing and change size manually? That's what I do. I need to go into the clothing anyway to set morphs (crosstalk is the first thing I break when buying conforming stuff), so it's not a big deal.
I guess different people do things different ways. I am just explaining the way that I personally do things. I am not saying that it is the right or only way of doing things.
Regardless... I do not see the need to bring profanity into my posts.

Quote - Wow, I'm a total dunce. I'm supposed to be setting figure parent and conforming? I've just been doing the latter. I feel really dumb... :blushing:
As for the D3D utility - I like the sound of that conforming feature... but so far I like the P8 library just as it is.
I've mostly been rendering though... see how I like it once I start setting up new scenes.

Until such time... and maybe afterwards... the Poser 8 Library features have been upgraded... XL is a must have program..!
Works flawlessly with my Poser 8 in Windows 7 64 bit.
Features I particularly like...
The fact that you can see your item png's properly as in previous versions of Poser... and... without all the info printed on them. Nice as that feature is within Poser 8... it is not required all the time and should have an option to display it or not display it.
The fact that when you select to conform an item of clothing to a figure that is not its original size... it conforms and fits correctly first time, without the need to Set Figure Parent and then Conform to figure as one has to do in Poser 8.
The fact that you can add as many props, items, etc., as you wish to your scene at the same time... as opposed to adding them individually.
Much as I like some of the features in the Poser 8 Library... I no longer use it.
If... the best features of the Poser 8 Library and XL could be combined... then we would have the perfect Library and functions.

Pleeeease** make the small (very small) square options button on the UI pallettes for docking, undocking, etc., a little larger... or the area of sensitivity around them larger.
Personally... I find them very difficult to select. It takes ages to find the exact spot to open the options.

Quote - An Area Render cursor that is not the same as the default Arrow. When trying to pick up to the edge of the frame, I keep undocking the preview window instead of selecting the render area. Thanks.
Whichway
Vaild suggestion, but in the meantime have you tried unselecting Drag-Docking Enabled.. for your Preview window..?

Please... please... please... add the abilty to use the mouse scroll wheel to ALL menus..!!!
I know it works in the Hierarchy panel, etc. But there are many menus where it it doesn't work and never worked in previous versions.
Such menus as.... Body Parts list and Materials list which are always really long lists. It is a pain having to click on the little arrow at the bottom and top of the list all the time to find what you need in the menu. it would be so much easier with the mousies scroll wheel and keep it consistant with those menus and lists that do work.

Quote - Oh dear ... I don't have an answer. I just wanted to comment that "you know your eyes are getting old when you don't see jaggies where you're supposed to."
Ouch ... I need new glasses. LOL
They may not appear in that image very well, due to resizing, compression, etc., but if you have Poser 8 and set up a similar sort of scene... the jaggies are much more obvious...
If other people are experiencing the same problem of course.
My eyes are also getting old, but will never get as old as I am. (Think about that one) LOL

Have pasted the render on to black bacground to emphasise the jaggies...

Quote - Yes. If you render anything beyond empty space, it seems you get artifacts. It MAY be tied to graphics driver, but I suspect not. I've reported this to Smith Micro via ticket.
Yup... thats whats happening,
If I render a figure in the open all is okay.
If I do a render of say... a figure in a room model.. and it is touching the edges of the preview window... then I get the jaggie edges.
I can live with it I guess, but its annoying having to crop the image in postwork every time to get rid of the jaggies.
Personally, I don't think it is my graphic drivers either... as other than the known graphic glitches with the UI everything is working fine display wise.
