Thread: Musclebound Mike Update? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I got an update from DAZ a couple weeks ago. My file says it was last updated on 12/17/01. I clicked on the link at the bottom of the page. I had to tell DAZ when I bought it, etc. and they sent me a link to download it. You can find your purchase history on their site if you don't know the information they want. Kevin

I downloaded these files and the textures are truly incredible. I can't believe you put them in the free area, but thanks. I am having something weird happen though. It might be the way I'm trying to use it, I don't know. The same thing happens with either micheal and musclebound mike. So what happens, you ask? I load one of the figures in the workspace and then I click on armormorphset and say apply it. My figure changes to something like the picture above, but the pelvis (hips I think it's called) is invisible. I tried to unhide it, but it wasn't hid. I also noticed that mike has no ears - like the picture above. But maybe he's not suppose to so that that hat thing can be applied. Anyway, I've tried deleting the figure but when I add him back the hips are now visible, but everything else is now missing. This happens when I just add mike back without applying the armormorphset. And no matter how many times I delete the figure and add him back he is still invisible. Sometimes everything about him is invisible. I couldn't figure out any way to make him show back up, so I shut down poser and restarted and added Mike and he was fine until I chose the armormorphset and clicked on the single arrow. Is that correct? And then the same routine happens. And I can only see Mike again, if I shut down Poser. So, how do I make him visible? I also get the file not found errors and I have three shrugging man icons, but the horse loads fine after I say no to the error message and the texture is applied to mike, but like I said the hips are first invisible. Thanks, Kevin

I meant to say that I was about to purchase a membership to poser4u.com, but I didn't see the padlock at the bottom of my screen, which usually means that the transaction isn't secure. Is there a way to make a secure purchase? Thanks. Kevin

Nemesis10: What clothing and what textures and what hair are you using? Your model looks really great!

I was able to purchase a membership, but then I noticed that I didn't see that lock at the bottom of my screen. Is there not a way to make a secure transaction? Thanks. Kevin

So where does this rain object live? I presume there's one for snow too. I was looking for that earlier today, but couldn't find it. (I'm using Vue4). Thanks. Kevin
Thread: Anton's Adventurers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't know if this will help anyone or not... but at first I didn't understand that you have to first add the model - adventurers outfit in this case - to the scene and then you go to the pose library and apply one of the MAT files. If you try apply the MAT pose file first, nothing may happen. Or worse, Michael may change colors. I've made him multicolored once or twice by doing that. And make sure you have the adventurers figure selected in the scene when you try to apply the MAT file. Often times it seems that you have to have the BODY or some main part of the figure selected too for the MAT file to work. Having the shoulder or some other part selected when you try to apply may not work. And What's a subdivided texture map anyway? Kevin

Thread: Not seeing wire frame preview | Forum: Vue
Well, I'm no expert, but I wasn't seeing any of the wireframes in my top and side views, or even in that render window. Then when Mike told me what to uncheck so that I could see my models when I did an underwater scene, I noticed that I could then see everything above the horizon line??, but nothing below, I went back and looked the other options and I think I unchecked clip at ground plane or something like that. Anyway, I can see my wireframes now. I am running Vue 4.01 on windowsXP. Kevin

There's something in the preferences that cause this. Something to do with clipping. I don't have Vue on this machine, or I'd look it up and see if I remember what I unchecked. I'll take a look later and see what I have unchecked. Kevin
Thread: Import pz3 files--error invalid serial number of Poser. HELP PLEASE!!! | Forum: Vue
I don't know if this makes the difference or not. But I didn't know in my earlier post what the button I was clicking on was called, so I checked. I click on the Load Object button and then browse to where I store the Poser pz3 files. I see a list and I pick the one I want and it loads my poser model into the scene. It sounds to me like others use the import button. Right? If you haven't already, you might try both to see if either one makes a difference. But maybe the difference is the 4.02b patch. I haven't tried that yet. Kevin
Thread: Import pz3 files--error invalid serial number of Poser. HELP PLEASE!!! | Forum: Vue
I have Poser 4.03 and the ProPack with the lastest Service Update. I also have Vue4 with the 4.01 patch. I have the 4.02b patch as well, but I haven't installed it yet. I wanted to see what others said about it before I took the plunge, as 4.02 had problems. Anyway, I installed Poser first and then Vue, which I got later. I have never seen the error mentioned above. But I think I import my models by the method droyd mentioned above. I click on an icon on the left side of the screen about midway down. It opens a dialogbox with some models displayed in the middle. At the bottom are three buttons. I choose the one that says file and then I browse to the location where my pz3 file is. I've never had any problem with this. And if there's another way to bring a pz3 file in, I guess I didn't know it. Hope this method helps. Kevin
