Hi Wim, yes it does happen with all props.
I just tried it with the box primitive, too. I changed the OriginY (from 0 to 1), saved the prop as well as the scene, and closed Poser.
Reopened Poser, loaded the box - OriginY = 0.
Closed Poser, loaded the saved scene - OriginY of the box = 0.

@ Laurie: Do you mean Edit -> Memorize -> Element? I tried that, too. Didn't seem to have any effect.

I'm not a native speaker, so I don't know the difference between pretty and handsome (I always thought "handsome" is the male equivalent of the female "pretty")Â - so I'd call him handsome.
I would think he is in his late teens or very early twenties (maybe because of his eyes which I think are just a tad to big for an adult).
He has a certain boy-next-door charm. Although his smile indicates that he isn't a boy anymore ...
Thread: Off topic Butter vs margarine | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
They lost me at this point: "Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods."
This is an opinion, not a fact. I prefer the taste of margarine. And nothing can ruin the taste of home-made sloe jam like butter - not even stale bread.
And since I had to experience cowsheds, the home-slaughtering of a pig and the butchering of some chickens at my grandpa's, I prefer food that was processed in food-factories, thank you very much.
Thread: Material Zones: Lots of Options or Not? (Poll Sort of) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Wellllll, I love lots of options - but almost 100 is ... inconvenient.
So I vote for option 2

Safety first! And being a Mod can be very stressful so made the right decision.
You did a splendid job as Mod in this forum and I hope you'll get well soon.

There is another proverb: The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Censorship is always a tricky thing. And this: "From now on, if I see a post that looks like it could change the course of a discussion and go way off topic or start a debate, it will be removed without notice" is utterly unacceptable in my book. Especially the "or start a debate" and the "without notice" parts.
I think you might think it's for the best, but so did Tomás de Torquemada, Kim Il-sung and some other guys who are just not worth to be mentioned.
Until now this forum was the one place in the internet where I felt a sense of community. Because 99% of the people here try to be helpful and kind. Give us an Ignore!-button for sanity's sake, but do NOT try to become the one person who decides what can be said - and what not.

Edit because of cross-post:
This:"Simply leave the comment form, but replace the text with "Comment Removed"." would be much(!) better, IMO.
Thread: SR3 is ready... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - We were not expecting that our new fulfillment partner Fastspring would require our customers to enter email and contact data for a free download, but the cart they have provided to us seems to be doing just that. We don’t feel that entering data other than a serial validation should be a requirement of a free service release, so we have redirected our links back to our own cart for the service release. We’ve heard your concerns, and this change hopefully will address those.
Thank you for the quick reaction!
It shows that the people at SM really listen to their customers, IMO.
It's a rare thing and very much appreciated
PS: Sorry for the double-post, but I didn't know how to quote two different posts in one reply

Quote - A very BIG THANK YOU to all that worked on the SR3 update and the documentation.
I think it is right to give those praise that help us to enjoy our Poser experience.
All the best.

Forget what I said. I think foxylady had the right answer (= later this month).
Note to self: Stop reading 2 or more articles simultaneously, you WILL get confused!

Maybe this article from the Renderosity frontpage gives a hint:

Reality 3 for Poser is scheduled to be released in November 2012
Thread: Poll: Do you use dynamic clothes? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Hi, I only use dynamic when I have to.  Somehow a complication always arises during use. ...
Love esther
Amen to that! I bought a few dynamic clothes (some with extensive tutorials). But almost every time I used one of them, something dreadful happened and the results were a mess.
Plus I'm too impatient to wait for the simulation(s) to be completed.
To answer the poll:
No, I hardly use dynamics
No, I won't buy - unless it's exactly what I'm looking for (a roman toga, anyone?)
I prefer conforming
Thread: Annoying glow on adjacent body parts using IDL and SSS | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I use P9 and I'm not sure it is related to SSS at all.
I've noticed the same effect in renders that where either night- or indoor- scenes. I rendered some of them with SSS or without it and it had no effect on the glow at all.
The effect was most obvious in a tomb scene. I used BB's hemisphere with one infinite light and IDL. The M4s (some with the default skin) where in a big room which had only one door and a small opening in the ceiling.
Everywhere two limbs (nearly) touched each other I got this strange orange glow - the armpits were most spectacular.
My first idea was, that it had something to do with AO - but I checked every material in the scene. None had the AO-node. Neither did the light.
