In the tree editing section, is it not possible to drag a part which is already a child of another part back to the root. (Unless I've missed something!) Would you be able to implement this? :)

You clever little bugger. This technique looks extremely useful. Very ingenious! Thanks for sharing. :)
Thread: Question about the Poser 4 Updater Save folder......? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've had this problem for ages and just put up with it! JeffH... I don't understand. Which short cut are you talking about?? The same thing happens even if I run poser.exe direct. Could you clarify?? Thanx!

Hey I like it. The aliens look too cute to be "the bad guys" and I disagree with aleks. Perhaps you could leave the Good/Bad Black/White idea and make it a more grey area... like real life where actions are not driven by good and evil, but by more subtle motives. The mug's being levitated by the bird... I've seen your previous posts... hence it is relevant, aleks! The bloke with the hairy chest... ...OH MY GHOD IT'S PRINCE CHARLES!!!!! Good luck!:)

Thread: Bryce5 on a dual Athlon pc | Forum: Bryce
I remember seeing a post a while back stating that you run lightening and Bryce simultaneously on the same machine to use the second processor. This should double your rendering speed? Yeah... Athlons kick proverbial butt.

Has this post appeared in the Poser Forum also? I waas sure I had posted a reply! Try PC World... they have it in the Portsmouth branch (big).
Thread: Crumpled Clothing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I did some hanging wetsuits in an image by flattening posette in the Z axis and exporting her "leotard" bits (everything except head and hands) as an obj which I textured in Bryce. Looked mighty fine! P.S. An excerpt from FZ's Dumb All Over with a touch of Yellow Snow...? much respect!
Thread: Got a rendering question - Hey Drax | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The "not responding" message is not entirely accurate... This just means that Poser is not responding TO WINDOWS because it is too busy! Press CTRY-ALT-DEL when your rendering successfully and you should get the same message. I have the same problem with Poser occasionally... As if Poser is in an endless loop (processor 100% active) Sometimes if I am VERY patient I can wait but if I restart Poser it works fine again. Good luck with yer Sabretooth... maybe another 512Meg stick wouldn't go amiss!

I saw it in PC World (Portsmouth branch). If it's there, I would expect it to be at most other large PC World branches. They had the full edition and the update at RRP. Like Eirain said Amazon had it a couple of weeks ago but I havn't looked recently. I'm still saving up my pennies for 5!!!!
Thread: Poser Path Poll: ATTN anyone with geometry problems | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
c:/3d/Poser4/... Nice and short. Might explain why I have had no problems with finding geometries?

Personally speaking, as I use a large variety of different apps, I think you should leave them as jpegs... But maybe do a tutorial for those who need it. That way the newbies get to learn a usefull skill and the useability(?) of your textures is not compromised! Unless, of course, you intend to make both varieties available!
Thread: making obj a figure, not a prop | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Easy-peasy lemon-sqeezy... With your "prop" selected, bring up the Heirarchy window. Click "create new figure" and it will save the obj as a figure in characters>new figures.

If it's just great modelling you're after, try Amapi before you buy anything... The 4.1 version is free and I've been using it with Poser and Bryce with great results... My seven year old daughter modelled a convincing wine glass the other day in 10 minutes!! The more recent version is, I believe, about $100 which is good value in anybody's book! Nurbs supported :) Of course... Amorphium 1.1 is good for models with HIGH poly-counts and that's free, too!
