Daz has a couple of utilities, the Tailor and I think the other one is Clothes Converter. These are designed to let you convert clothes from one figure to another. John

The !V3Makeup files should be in the Poses directory, as I understand it they are Mat Pose Files. It should go something like this, select Vickys head, find and double click on the makeup file you want to apply. That should be it. Though I dont know how that will work if the mat files are in the Figures directory. Dont forget you wont see the makeup until you render your image. Hope that helps. John.

Thread: how to apply image file in materials room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Shadow You add Imagemaps to the Diffuse color (the very top node in Poser 5), though be careful to make the Diffuse color light enough to see the map. I usually use white. Hope that helps John

check out my tutorial at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PoserCC/ It should give you a good idea of how it all works :) It's in the Files section so you'll have to sign up. The tutorial has a free paor of dynamic pants for V3 to play with too. John.

One Possibility is that they are exporting the image from poser in a photoshop type format, which holds alpha channel information. you can then use the alpha channels to exclude the background and presumably make an image with a transparent background. John.

Thread: What could be causing this...? (dynamic simulation issue) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I get this occasionally, I'm afraid I don't have a definitive answer. Though it seems to be after I have run a number of test sims and have changed the default parameters a long way from the original. I usually save the file, close poser, reload the file then set the sim setting back to default (including otions like cloth self collision). Not brilliantly helpful I'm afriad. Take care John.

Thread: New Poser Group | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have heard :) and it might be the reason, that Internet Explorers new security features occasionally get in the way of Yahoo groups. I reset my security setting back to default and it let me in. John.

Thread: Which is more popular: Conforming or Dynamic clothing? Opinions? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You better believe it svdl, I've tried and it's not simple :) could do with an overhaul of the clothroom to simplify ammending the groups. Or maybe even an add on. You can get some complex effects, but the draw back being, the more complex the mesh, the longer it takes to calculate the dynamics. Many thanks to svdl for showing me what was possible with his excelent work. John

Thread: Which is more popular: Conforming or Dynamic clothing? Opinions? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi all here's my two penneth of opinion :) I've been trashing around in the cloth room for a while now and am not even close to using all the options. I think though that as far as flexibility goes dynamic clothing gives a more realistic effect, though it takes a bit of knowledge to get that out. I think dynamics will come to the fore, just as soon as people find out what you can do with the cloth room. It's just a shame it's not intuitive to use. John

Thread: Vikki Eye Removal | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I dont know if this is what you have in mind, but try exporting the figure to another format, I usually use wavefront obj. Then in the figure tree that comes up only pick the right and left eyes. Hope this helps :)
