I wonder..about..hoo boy..a year and a half ago I ran across a Bryce site that did pics like that, had Seasonal awards (winter, spring, etc), and only about 2 years or so..the pics were fantastic, but could never find it again..off to check. Heck, it was one of the reasons I went for Bryce in the first place..;)

I was nu-be, but after a year, it didn't fit so well, so I wanted to change it to 'gadfly'. Gadfly was taken, now what? I have a small poster on my desk, the Pakled Award for Smart People and Technical things (from the 'You can't do that on Star Trek' site, one of the funniest sites that's no longer around). So I went with that. We are not smart..;)

I think so..I made a 40-meg model once, and brought it into Bryce, but it took about 30 seconds. (not on purpose..just subdivided a few too many..;) I dunno..looks like you have the resources, should work.

and I didn't even see the raft until I got there..wow, 3 in one week..could always use the tunnel as a kiln, and the raft as a short bridge..but that's what creative minds are for..;)

birds? hmm..I have the problem that my eyes are more talented than my fingers..;) I took some art courses in college, but am hardly an expert. I usually try to point out things I think that can be fixed or changed; and I always try to be encouraging, no matter what. I've only been slammed 3 times in one year, and with the exception of the first one, we agreed to play nice..;) tjohns' got a good point, that's the best way to handle it. It did crack me up about the 'no gallery postings' from the most vocal critics..it turned out to be true on one of them..;)Maybe they should italicize improving ..oh yeah..they do. Take care all.

you can set your Virtual memory to whatever you like. All of the above is good advice. As a rule, Virtual Memory settings use available memory, and when that's used up, it uses the Hard Drive. If you set the setting too high, you'll notice the hard drive is almost always in motion. (the missus' PC, which I'm on, only has 64 meg, so I'm hearing the poor HD constantly). So see if you can change your Virtual memory settins, especially if you put in another 256 meg of mem.
There are particular programs (AOHells Instant Mangler, to name just one) that just grab resources all over the place. One thing I do is disable it as soon as I'm booted up (dang kids, but it's cheaper than long distance..;) You can right click and exit the programs. Helps a little. Also clearing out your offline content from the Browser, cleaning unneeded cookies, etc., helps.

gad..depends on what sort of detail you want, you could do it with just cubes..a little stretching and pulling here and there..unless it has to be poseable, which is beyond me at present. I've seen several toilets, but no stalls..doesn't mean there aren't any, just I haven't seen any. I'm away from my modelling computer until Monday, but I'm sure someone could whip something out (all right..no cracks..;) in no time..
