I find using the Animation Palette for the Cameras is best. You seem to always need to add some Breaks or change the type of animation (Linear, Spline, etc...) to get the desired results. Often, unless you are doing a Matrix type shot or a one of the other Movement shots(Pan. Tilt. Zoom. Tracking shot. Dolly shot. Following shot. Pedestal. ), most of the shots you do not want the Camera moving, but more like a change position, from an Close Up Camera, to a Long shot, etc... ( Long Shot, Medium Shot, Close Up, Extreme Close Up, High Angle, Low Angle, Over the Shoulder, Point of View)
Arial shot can be a Still or Animated Camera. There are others... those were the ones I remember we used to reference when setting up Story Boards, PreVis, and POCs

Thread: buy for poser from daz3d | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think there is a way around that... but maybe it does not work with V4.... I got some carts from DAZ3D for a project and I did not need to install DS. The issue maybe that the recent items I purchased were not DAZ3D products, but vendor items.
With that said... Did you get your files put on Disc, or did you purchase them on a disc? I just checked and my old downloads in my account are still there, all 432 Orders... I know a few are missing because the items ran afoul, but they should still be there.
DAZ3D items in the past used non Poser format for the ZIPs and some were installers. This created some issues with adding to Libraries, but their were ways... Maybe someone more verse in DAZ3D current formats can offer a solution.Â
Well.. that is what I get for double checking that what I said about DAZ3D was still true and not typing my email correct, so I think I forgot my Password, and then had troubles accessing my WebMail for the account.... three people respond....

Thread: Poser on multiple monitors | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have the same issue with my Cintiq... In my case, the Cintiq must be the primary Display. I am not sure if Huion is the same. I have a XPen Display that does not have that issue.
NOTE: Poser will remember the location of some screens (by Coordinate Location) which will impact where some windows open, when moved. In those cases, I use the UI Dots to remember Window Locations and then use one for when I use the Tablet and another when I do not. That might solve your issue with the Huion (did not with the Citiq for me)

Thread: Opened Poser 10 today... libraries replaced by a flashplayer icon. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A few possible answers for some issues I have seen here... To Poser Preferences, Embedded means Flash. The AIR Library was External. If you set the option to Embedded in the Preferences of the application, it will launch to Flash the next time. Not sure what happens with the edits in Poser.ini
If you are not seeing AppData folder, change your File Explorer View options to Show Hidden Files and Folders. AppData is hidden by default.
With Poser 12 (and 11) you can link to older Libraries using the Add Library option in Poser and selecting the Folder of the Library that contains the Runtime Folder. A few pointers on this....
If you have older scripts, you may encounter some errors on launch after linking the older Library. If you have it as part of your Application Folder, you may want to consider Copying it over to its own folder in the Public Documents (Shared Folder on Mac) and link from there after cleaning up the application files in the Runtime Folder of the Application. Most users of Poser 8 and later should not have this issue unless you intentionally set the Main Library to the Program Files Folder. I will add that before moving, check your User Account Virtual Store Folder for any content... long explanation, but the short of it is Windows may have added content installed or saved to the Main Library to the Virtual Store folder if the Library was in the Program Files folder.

You can purchase Poser 11 for $100 US through the end of next week I believe.
https://www.posersoftware.com/store
Then purchase Poser 12 with the Poser 11 Discount saving about $20 over Poser 12 straight up... enough to get La Femme Pro if you do not already have it!

Thread: Poser Executable file stopped working | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Poser 7 did not use Flash. The Exe error normally was due to corrupted preferences.
There was also the issue with the Virtual Store getting corrupted for users that had their Libraries in Program Files folder. If that is the cause, you may end up having to reinstall content. Make sure you install to a Public Folder (Library linked to Poser) not the application in Program Files to avoid that in the future.
One other issue that could cause this was a bad/broken redistributable from Microsoft. Normally if that was the cause, there will be a details link and you will see the culprit file referenced.

Thread: Opened Poser 10 today... libraries replaced by a flashplayer icon. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For Poser Pro 2012 and 2014 users, there is the option to use External Library, which was the AIR Library. This may be able to be turned on in Poser 9 and/or Poser 10, I honestly can not recall. Poser 11 did not use Flash or AIR, though it was in one of the earlier installers, but disabled. Poser 12 does not use Flash or AIR.
Some security software will scream at you if Flash and/or older Adobe AIR is on your system from some reports I have had. I would not be surprised if an update in the future blocked it from even existing on a newer system.
A note on AIR...
In June 2019, Adobe announced it would begin transitioning ongoing support and development of Adobe AIR to HARMAN. Adobe will continue to provide support for versions 32 and earlier until the end of 2020, as support will be managed by HARMAN. It was eventually rebranded as simply AIR.
Unless you plan on updating, you may find AIR Library not working at some point in the near future.

Thread: Poser History | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Oh you young whipper snappers....
Before Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft sucked you into Console Game Systems to play Graphic Games, we used our Desktop Systems. Who here remembers Babbages and the other Computer Gaming Stores of the day. Shoot, Best Buy and Circuit City were hot beds for games through out the 90's for Home PCs. Back then most Video Cards came with at least one game and if you chose the right components you might score a couple more.
I used to go and check out the latest releases once a month and think about buying, though I limited myself to one a year in most cases. Friends would swap games after they ran the course or you could pick them up cheap at Yard Sales.
When Windows 95 was released there were even more games... Windows 98 Microsoft even tried to make the OS like a Game (who remembers Home... Hate to admit it, but I thought it was fun... loved messing with that resource hog!)
I stopped playing games until my kids were older during the early years of consoles. Still have my Wii and my kids still play that. Bought an XBox with the 360 Camera for Poser testing. The only one I do not have is a PlayStation and the newer Nintendos. My original XBox gave up the ghost, so I now only have the Wii and an XBox One.

Thread: Concerning: Poser 8 as Freeware | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
There has never been any Freeware version of Poser. Anyone providing a version claiming it as Freeware is providing a Pirated copy or worse. Anyone downloading and using is in violation of the EULA. The License for discontinued versions does not end because a version is discontinued.
The current version of Poser is Poser 12.
Please note... there was a popular offer for Poser 5 and later Poser 8 which users may still encounter that was embedded with Malware. This version was so popular that some were sold at a very low price, which individuals paid for a Malware embedded version.
As always... if it is free or too good to be true, it most likely is.

Thread: How many external Runtimes do you use? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
C,,,
The most I had was near 100 when I was testing content, (One for each product I had tested over time)
Average was in the 80s as I retired some and added new ones.
Changed up and try to keep it under 30 or 40. Some are all for one figure or theme (V4/M4 Hardly changed since set up back with Poser 7, Miki, G2. Toons, Fantasy, SciFi, Vehicles, Scenes, Structures, ....)
These I back up regularly and clean up to maintain a specific convention and shorten paths... Sorry Content Creators... I do not need to know this folder is your stuff... Ever since I had some corruption due to length of path in my Poser Library due to inclusion of these extra folders in the path, I have stripped the Library of those folders.
Also hate the whole Exclamation point thing
One wish I do have is for naming the License Text file and Readme Text file for the content package, not generic and place the ReadMe's in the ReadMe folder, not Read Me one time and readme the next!
Also, when you create content, keep the same convention throughout the product.. La Femme, LaFemme, Lafemme, etc... Makes it easier to clean up.

Thread: Blast from the past - Poser 1 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
1996... I was laid up from surgery following an accident and a friend owned an ad agency. He had just landed a big account with a local dealership and the client wanted some TV Ads. He bought Poser and several other applications to try to create Storyboards for his presentation. With just two weeks before the full presentation he was struggling to get the look he wanted so he brought over Poser along with all the software and his files so far. We worked for about a week straight every day and evening, ended up using Poser to create the Storyboard images, bought me a new Inkjet Printer to try printing out these images we created... that failed (no decent quality prints) So we created a slide show... He presented two days later... they accepted and he hired a local production firm to do the commercial shoot. I was hooked and I started doing ad work for him as a freelance. Even got a few gigs from the Production Company to create Storyboards for other clients. Found a better printer (had to use special paper) and the rest is history....
No payment for that first job but I got to keep using Poser and all the software along with the Printer we did not use. One of the early HP Color Jet... so that first job ended up having better value than most of the jobs I took over the next 10 years! Oddly, I never used the ColorJet much and other than Rhino, I can not recall the other applications... Might be when I got my first copy of Paint Shop Pro.

Thread: LaFemme - Great huge enormous thigh gap | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I said... and or Meaning one or more touching... From Bow legged to Knock-Knee and everything in between.
In my reference.. if you take most Poser Figures, including LaFemme and move the thighs towards center until something touches, it is often the side of the feet, maybe ankles using a Zeroed Figure.

Thread: LaFemme - Great huge enormous thigh gap | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have not done much human modeling work in some time, but there are two factors..
One is the reference source for the figure.... As an old subscriber to Photo Resource Sites, I have a collection of various real world people in a state of undress and unless they are Rubenesque, there is a gap of various levels... LaFemme seems to be a bit more than average, but not the biggest gap.
Two is the pose...The feet apart T Pose used will accentuate this gap.
That brings me to my observation.. A Morph may help get the results the OP was seeking, even if the gap could be realistic... I did notice that the Hip Joint does not allow you to bring the feet together or the knees together easily. This two could be due to the reference, but most models I have dealt with can bring their thighs, knees, and or ankles together. The closest I was able to get was adding a 8 to 10 degree on the thigh (negative on the Left) and about -10 on the lower leg (Positive on the right) This got the knees to touch leaving a small gap on the thighs opening to a triangle at the juncture with the Hip Body Part. This matches with some of the Reference Photos I have as well for the more slender of the models

Thread: Poser Apple future Mac OS compatibility | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The Malware message is the result of a setting and Apple has work around for their own limits The setting is in General System Preferences and it limits installers to those from the App Store. You can change this to allow from Identified Developers. This is a new policy that requires installers to obtain new notarization annually, even if there is no change.
Apple used to have an option to Allow from all developers, but they removed that. They still allow you to install from all developers, but make you jump through some hoops. Here is a link if it posts. It is Apples own support.
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202491
They apparently can block some applications installed from running if not Notarized, but also offer a solution for that currently.
Apple has indicated they want to move to only apps from the App Store, and as a business model, it makes sense, since they get paid for every application obtained through the App Store.
