I don't know what happened to Norton. Some years ago they offered a fairly decent suite of products, but I wouldn't advise anyone to put their stuff on a computere these days unless they actually enjoy being driven crazy by constant bugginess.
AVG has proven to be a far more reilable and helpful product for me. If you don't want to pay for Pro, the free version seems to be just as good.
Thread: OT: Bill Gates | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If those wonderfullyĀ generous Gates wanted to be of real service to humanity, they'd buy me some new underwear so my wife would quit making fun of the stuff I'm currently wearing. Whenever I ask her to pick some up for me, she just laughs and tells me to do it myself. The poor, ignorant woman just doesn't understand that no true man worth his salt ever buys underwear, or anything you can't immediately eat unless it has an electro- mechanical device of some kind stuck on it.
It ain't natural.

Just use the morphbrush.

Thanks for the good info and a simple fix. Why didn't I think of that?

M3's puffy shoulders drive me crazy. No matter what clothes he's wearing, he always looks like Joan Crawford in some 50's film noir movie. His bushy default eyebrows remind me of Joan Crawford too.
Now I'm scaring myself.

Thread: NO_MAP - causes P7 to crash??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Had this problem a few times myself, and 7 has always crashed after the error hit.Ā I think the only way to avoid this problem might be to strip models of their textures before saving them, (especially those created in older Poser versions) then reapply them on loading. It's a pain in the neck, but it works.
So far.

Thanks, EnglishBob, for pointing Arrowhead to the correct Windows link. The new link I've provided will take you directly to Download.com's free DAZ repository. If you've ever been curious about Bryce, version 5.5 is available free. Life is good.Thread: Excellent freebies you may have missed | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

Adrian: I hope you didn't think I was being critiical of you. Posting the information you gave was aĀ responsible and caring thing to do. I appreciate you willingness to be of service to others. It's always possible to pick up something online when downloading a program, even if the program itself is clean. One of the worst offenders is the virtumonde class of Trojans. These suckers can hit you anytime you are online and downloading anything, even a web page. The only sure way to get rid of them is to use atribune's vundofix. It's free and a great app. The link I provided is for the download site. Just for peace of mind, I'd use it after installing Deep Paint. Even if your copy has somehow been infected, vundofix will eliminate any vrus and restore the program sterile clean, making it absolutely safe to use.Thread: Excellent freebies you may have missed | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There's no virus or any kind of malware in the program. I just downloaded and scanned it with AVG Pro, Vundo and Spy Sweeper. I then installed it, and had no problems. My system is clean according to all my security software.
Some Malware detection programs tend to be a bit overly aggressive when attempting to identify "droppers" by tagging every sysmon call function as a Trojan. Bit Defnder has that reputation. I wouldn't have any qualms about using the Deep Paint download.
Thread: OT - Do people really open 'them' emails?!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
In the good old days spammers just plastered sites with banners that earned them a penny a hit. Then along came expanded functionality Java and bots. Email has never been the same.
Who else wants a gigantic weenie?
Thread: Poser 7? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
P5 really takes a lot of hits, and in truth, most of them are well deserved. Its original release was as buggy as a New York deli. But on the other hand it was absolutely a quantum leap forward, both in content and features. I still occasionally use it, mostly because it was the last version not to suffer from user input delay. Both 6 and 7 have an annoying one or two second time gap between executing a command and actually seeing it performed in the view port. That drives me crazy.
