As far as I'm aware, the walk path only works with the walk designer.
You can create a walk cycle and save it within the walk designer folder in which case it will show in the WD window for selection, or you can use the walk path as a reference for some other motion in which case you will need to animate the object manually.

Just to clarify, the subsurfing is not done within MakeHuman. Just get the figure to look the way you like and export the obj file. You then need to import that file into your modelling program and do the subsurfing there before re-exporting.
Sorry for the confusion.....

I too have been playing around for the last week or so. As far as I know, once the mesh is exported, thats all you get. No rigging or morphs, just the mesh.
If you subsurf at least once before exporting, you get a much smoother mesh. Blender reports around 171,000 faces after subsurfing once. Using the model to learn rigging at the moment.

From the screenprints posted, it looks to me the waistband is way too big. Is it meant to be that huge?

Take a look at Dr Geep. http://www.drgeep.com/
Like a lot of people I can't seem to get my head round them but his tutorials do make it simpler.

When I do this sort of thing I use a primitive (usually a ball scaled down to about 20%) parent the ball to vicki and then parent the ribbon to the ball. This tends to work most of the time, but not all. When satisfied make the ball invisible.

The animation was very good and showed off the model perfectly. The motion was very smooth and believable. Definitely a keeper.

As for the prop blur, this is best done in Photoshop. I can try and dig out the tutorial if you would like.

Thanks, turning up the selected to max done the trick. Didn't think there were so many polys in such a small (looking) object.

Thanks but the resolution is already up for all three states. The imported meshes do render correctly and display correctly in other programs.
