Thread: Miki 3.0 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Just tried the figure in P7. I didn't expect it to even load, so I was pleasantly surprised. Because of the different joint rigging the mesh tears easily after a small movement (you can move the arms down by about 20 degrees before this happens). Head movement seems to be fine, so no problem with portrait shots.
Now would be a good time to practice with the setup room :D
Hmm, thought..., if one was to re-rig Miki to match/work with p7 would we be able to give the bone pz3 away or what have you?

I gave that a try Phil, it still gave me the error.
It appears that only the scripts under Utility work, everything else does nothing.
Possibly I'll have to reinstall under admin mode, better yet install in Linux and once again say heck with windows :)

I fully agree with you Onimusha, though I might give her a try, normal price is a whopping $40. CP's figures still seem to me very primative somewhere between Posette and Vicky 3. That's probably the biggest reason there was hardly any support for the other Miki's.
I just upgraded to P8 today and the new figures are rather dull. At least Miki comes with a 30 day money back guarentee, so I can spend $15 now and if I don't like her I can just send her packing.
I had both Miki 1 and 2Â though I never really used them and I no longer have them due to the new CP layout where they now charge you to download the files after a month, what types of mesh issues did they have, my memory fails me.

It sure is Frankin Gothic, great eye thank you.
I had to adjust the character settings to get it right, the sizing wasn't natural. no wonder I couldnt find it. I made the adjustment over top of the image and it ended lining up perfectly.
Thank you again

Thank you for the links, the 2nd address came up with some that were closebut none that I found had the same type of o,0 or the curved 7.
hmm maybe one of my flash files used the same font. you know it would be really nice if people in companies would make a list of the materials they used when times like these arise lol talk about a wild goose chase.

OK so this is pretty standard then, I'm rather new to Carrara and just wanted to try to follow some tutorials instead of making my own terrain at the moment, it's just rather annoying trying to follow a tutorial and a big piece of the pie is missing or in cases like this 2+2= 22 just don't add up.
Maybe its just me but isn't it kinda silly to have default scenes that you really cannot do anything with because the size is so extraordinarily large?
Guess it's time to go hunting fro more tuts
Thanks guys

Hmm, I just noticed that anytime I open a default terrain it always imports as a large scene.
whether its opening it from the landscape wizard or opening it from the browser (double click or drag to the properties) even if I have my scene set at medium or not.
I've checked my preferences and even reset them, made no difference.
I've even tried changing the scene to medium after it has been opened under the magnitude, no difference there either.
I don't understand why this is happening in both C7 and C8 when you guys seem to have no issues.
Probably MS Windows striking again. ugh

That's what I've heard, actually I've never tried the large scene, I don't believe.
Usually I'll go new medium scene and last night I tried small scene. both of which the trees were microscopic.
I even tried closing everything and just double clicking on the preset, what size that opens to I'm not quite sure, but again I need a 1000 ft tree in the scene, something must be wrong.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out what the font was. I found one somewhat close. the drop shadow could stand to be more noticeable. the one thing I am really having trouble with is getting the gradient on the outside ring to match up correctly, I can get it to go from white to brown but not brown to white, Hmm perhaps I should try reversing the colors.

It's an image that I have on a web course I'm rebuilding, unfortunatly all I have is the stock image, I'm changing the borders of the web pages to match the colors added to the image, which using the origonal image will not match the other colors and look well pretty bad.
I'll probably have to somehow make an exact copy and build it in flash which would seem the best option, though my client does not want the image to change at all just the colors :(
