I will look at it when I get home but I know the previous incarnation was a little hard to figure in Bryce ... Kept on selecting and unselecting the wrong things because I didnt realize everything was doubled at first. Perhaps the base moved the wrong way. I know that occasionally a model part will shift in the translation so you get a crack ... That and weird bits that you never knew were there will show up like hidden necks on shirts and stuff .. But I will look when I get home .. Good luck

What does the base have showing? If there is nothing then I would simply delete the item and then get rid of the shadow. Nice red head by the way ...

I believe it should ... Still have that version at work. What you do is go to the little arrow by create and click on that .. You get a menu that has rocks, terrains and other things. There is a button on the bottom that says add. You should be able to add the .obp object there .. Good luck

Seeing your image above I can see sorta what effect you are going for. What I would probably do is create a sphere. Kind of shape it like an M&M and apply the green lit materials from the miscellaneous or complex section. You can color it to what you are looking for and perhaps dim the opacity and add another smaller version as the core. Could also put a little light in the center. That should help some. One thing to worry about is the light bouncing off of nearby planets and such sometimes. Could also stretch out the sphere so it trails better. I hope that helps and sorry about rambling .. need to wake up ...

I am not sure what kind of effect you are going for but it is fairly easy to get it in Bryce though it sometimes requires some touch up in Photoshop ... You looking for the rocketship burst or more of the hyperspace after trail from the engine? (Not sure on how to explain it) ...
