Also, I'm not sure I would render default scenes in Superfly. PBR is revolutionary like IDL was a few versions back, so far as lighting is concerned.

Check your render settings. Any PBR needs lots of samples in order to get rid of noise/fireflies. If I want to get "clean," I set to a minimum of 15–20 pixel samples. Really good quality will be more, but that should be sufficient to get rid of artifacts in most situations.
As for whether Superfly is using your GPU ... assuming you have an Nvidia card, you have to set that in your preferences; otherwise, it will be doing CPU renders only by default. (Be aware too that the tech is such that GPU rendering isn't as capable as CPU in some aspects of quality.)

Thanks, beas. I struggled with it for awhile, got it to where it was just okay, then got some more help from phdubrov over in an RDNA forum thread, and now I'm finally satisfied. At this point, I think the eyes will be pretty near as good as a given texture allows.
It's a little thing, but I'm really happy with how the lacrimals turned out. Never got them to look that good in Firefly at any point.

Here's my best so far. Wish Superfly didn't have SSS bugs, but I think this is not too bad.

First one is Firefly. Second one is Superfly. Both with medium low quality render settings.
No idea how to control specular and colour for hair room hair in Superfly. Nothing seems to work for me.

This has always bet the pricing structure. There are sales periodically.
Perhaps true, but previous kickoff sales were much better. I have paid between $99 and $149 for all previous upgrades.

Problem I've had with trying V4 or S4 and dialing things back is the boobs. You can't get them down enough before they start doing nasty things around them, and of course, the clothing will follow whether conforming or dynamic.
Well, I also have the NPM (Natural Petite Morphs) set, so that isn't really a problem. So it depends what resources are in your toolbox.

Okay, here is a Dawn SE quickie. No, she's not home alone. Somebody just told her she has 84 new morphs added to her face!
I'm guessing this is supposed to be obvious, but of curiosity, what renderer did you use here? Turned out really well.

Another option for younger girls is to use the Stephanie morph set, which is more petite and includes additional morphs that look useful for creating a youthful character. I haven't gone all-out to see how far that can go, though.

Thanks, Teyon. Perhaps I'm naive, but still crossing my fingers that the team has listened to the requests for serious upgrades in the hair creation department (i.e. serious improvements to the existing Hair Room, or a viable replacement/alternative). That combined with the new render engine would probably sell me on the new version.

Thanks, Glitterati. So if clothing is designed for the same figure as the character, you wouldn't touch the fitting room at all, right?

Well, I got fed up. Laliberte has some pretty good adjustment morphs built in. I used those to get a reasonable fit, then turned the item into a prop and went into the Setup Room (more foreign territory for me). That worked okay, but the Fitting Room did give me a better fit (got some buttocks sticking out). In the future, I'll probably use it to get the fit, then spawn a prop and then go into the Setup Room.

Sad that as usual everything descends into a dustup to the detriment of useful conversation. I waded through seven pages and found perhaps a half page of intelligent discussion.
I for one love the idea of a CPU-based PBR, although long-term I hope to have better GPU options. My computer itself is incomparably more powerful than my video card.
But I'd like to know what other improvements are in the works, which other than general content-related questions, most people seemed more interested in mutual bashing rather than asking. Even with PBR, if there isn't significant improvement in the Hair Room, that's probably a dealbreaker in terms of me upgrading, myself.

If the product in question was for sale here at Rendo: A lot of people may not know, but if a product does not sell for a certain amount of time, it goes on clearance, and if still doesn't sell, it gets pulled from the store altogether. (I suspect there is a similar policy at other stores.) Therefore, unavailability of a product may have nothing to do with the vendor's choice to begin with.
