OK. I've uploaded a corrected file. Everything should work fine now. Thank you Chris for the heads up! Please keep me posted if anyone finds any other problems with the file.

Thank God! That I can fix! If there is an H drive problem I won't be able to fix it. Thank you!

Quote - I have taken a look at your freebie and, unfortunately, you have not included the appropriate textures. My P8 is looking for files that don't exist in the runtime. You will need to go back and repackage your zip.
**Hi hborre, the textures are in the same folder as the pp2 file. When I load the freebie on my machine everything works fine. I think the problem may be that my computer's C drive is actually lettered H. So when Poser looks for the files it is probably looking for an H drive. I'm not sure how to correct the problem on my machine.
Is there a way to manually make the pp2 file look for its files in a C drive instead of H? Otherwise I won't be able to change it. :(**

Thread: Cracks in conforming figue | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Now I'm just having a problem I've been having for some time with Michael 4. Whenever I load Michael 4 to a figure in the setup room I get this little "bone-like" appendage coming out of the waist. The orange arrow points to the....er....thing.
What am I doing wrong? I loaded an OBJ file then went into the setup room and loaded Michael 4 into the setup room. As soon as I do that I get this weird appendage.
Please help!
Many thanks!!

Well, no luck with getting rid of the boner...I mean bone. The only thing I can do is set the preview material to transparent. It seems to be doing this EVERY time I import Michael 4 into the setup room. No one else has this problem at all? It must be some glitch just with my Poser 7 and no one elses. :(

Has anyone else had this problem trying to create conforming figures in the Setup room with Michael 4? Now if I go to the material room and select "preview" and change the color of "preview" it changes the color of this one piece. This is just weird. I have no idea why the Michael 4 skeleton is doing this. ???? :(

Quote - You can get some already at PoserWorld. I believe they're still having a major sale on their subscriptions.
Hi, do you have a link by chance that I could look at them? I thought I had been over just about everything there was to look at on PoserWorld.
Many thanks for the quick reply!! :)

The more I look at the figure the more I think it will do very nicely. Thanks again! It's for a unit animation for the game Civilization III.

Thread: Looking for Freebie Gardening Tools | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Civ III is relatively easy to do unit graphics for provided you have the right utilities. I've never tried making units for Civ IV but my understanding is that Civ IV is considerably more complicated with respect to units. Civ III you just make one set of animations which are seen from the same angle and zoom all the time. Civ IV you need to be able to zoom in on a unit to see its nose hairs. I'm not sure if Poser can be used for this but if you go to the Civfanatics forums there are tutorials on how to create units for Civ III and IV. :)
EDIT: Yes the units are animated. :)
EDIT 2: If you ever decide to do some of your own Civ III graphics let me know and I can help you get started. :)

I don't know about educational. Civilization III is a computer game. I'm making some unit graphics for it with these tools. However, I suppose Civ III is a little more educational than a first person shooter! LOL!

Thanks everyone. I did install the Poser updates. I also DL'd the latest drivers for my video card and that seems to have helped (knock on wood).
