Would you care to elaborate on the differance between World and Object modes, maybe post a screenshot or two? I tried looking this up in the help file and failed.
Thread: Parallel Offest, Shelling, Thickening? | Forum: Carrara
Hoofdcommissaris - BTW, how sure are you that the Vertex Modeler's 'Add Thickness' function can do this "Hollowing" out of my figure mesh?
Thread: Parallel Offest, Shelling, Thickening? | Forum: Carrara
Hoofetc(...hehe!) - Your mesage to sailor_ed is exactly correct. I plan to import this model into Vue 4 for use with the Basic Glass material, which is like a transparent shader that just does'nt work right when the figures are solid...
Thread: Really Great Parallel Offset, Shelling, or Thickening Modeler Needed? | Forum: 3D Modeling
BazC - Close, my figure is still solid, but I would like to keep just the "skin" with a comfortable thickness. cjd - Very good! Could you be so kind as to recomend an app. for this? I'm very glad to hear Amapi and WIngs have thickening tools, but what pakled said about has me nervous in that I do'nt have the hole to start with!
Thread: Boolean Newbie | Forum: Vue
gebe - Someone in the 3D Applications forum told me the term of what I'm rying to do is known as "parallel offset" and "shelling." I hav'nt checked yet, but I'm wondering which program this is accomplished with most easily, any idea? I'm very much sow hoping Carrara can do it, that's my best guess...
Thread: Boolean Newbie | Forum: Vue
Any ideas of wich other program(s) this may be easier in?

I have browsed throught the backroom looking for tutorials, if any has one particular in mind please link!

The texture is just a material, with colors and Functions to seperate them. I've actually several(12) renders of this pose. The wings are where they are semetrical to each other(At 45 degrees from thier Chest Perent,) I ca'nt think much of moving just one, without expecting the pose to change for flyight rather than just hovering.
Thread: A Much Larger Thumbnails/Page Dropdown Please, for people with Broadband? | Forum: Community Center
And hey, wait a minute...Since when does a people increased interest, in a place, slow anything down? Is this not what banner ads are just for, hits?
Thread: A Much Larger Thumbnails/Page Dropdown Please, for people with Broadband? | Forum: Community Center
I understand need for bandwidth, as well as the resources it would take to keep all of each image's hits in order. I'm sorry to hear this though. Comcast has just doubled thier retail speed to 3MBs in my area, and I would very much like to try it again for a few months or so, again. Allthough with out wonderfully abundant resouces to sail to its kinda a waste. I must say R-Sity is easily one of The Most Up and Coming destinations on the WWW to date. It is a pitty knowing such an rudamentary principle is holding anything from progress!
Thread: Why does the Most Viewed Gallery only have the top 100 images? | Forum: Community Center
Who can I petition too? I'd definately appreciate a little more of something to go by, when browsing all these Pictures!
Thread: Why does the Most Viewed Gallery only have the top 100 images? | Forum: Community Center
I think people are finding more and more that the top 100 images is just a very minimal cross section of Renderosity's very large gallery. The proportionet perspective just does'nt smell right! Then there is where I say even the galleries current drop down menu is large enough. I know bandwidth concerns are a must around here, but you must still cater to those with the resources, time, and patience, and tailor for the others.
Thread: Why does the Most Viewed Gallery only have the top 100 images? | Forum: Community Center
Well it would be nice to have something to go by, where there are just so many images, from so many different people in the gallery, like a nifty little foot path in the woods! There definately would not be any need to DL every image in all of the galleries, though! Allthough a good sized dropdown would be nice though. It could let you pick from 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, 640, etc. When I sit down to browse the galleries I do so long enough to sit back and let it DL for 5 minutes at a whack. I think this would also be an improvement.

jadybob - Please understand the concept of the MT(Morph Target,) and that what makes Daz3D's popularity grow is an abbundance of these! These are Polygon-Count Dependand alternate versions of body parts'(Like the Face/Head) vertex spaceage! The bad thing you're realizing is that without some lind of an Industry-Wide standard, for the Human Figure, collecting these is a pain in the #@! It is these you use as the tool to sculpt beautiful new faces! But when new hardware technology comes along and produces Ultra-Higher Resultion Scans of Humans(As with newer and newer versions of Daz3D Mil' Chars., a lack of MT Transfer software exists. Because MTs just do'nt between figures, it is difficult to get "A" good collection of MTs rolling. I thin this is what P5 people are feeling with thier less than real virtual characters.
