Thread: Has Renderosity gone MAD | Forum: Bryce
Thanks guys, checked the Forums menu and indeed was ticked to receive an email following each new post. How the hell it got ticked in the first place is beyond me, I've never been into the forums option page before but I've scrubbed it now so all should be well. Cambert--> Yes, I've been getting the SLQ thing as well so I thought it may be affecting signing on etc., That's progress for you!
Thread: monthly challenge??? | Forum: Bryce
This situation is really pathetic, I've contributed to two threads and IM'd AgentSmith asking about this with no replies and nothing seems to be happening. You can imagine when somebody does wake up them saying 'Oh sorry, we'll extend the closing date to the end of August' but this is JUNE'S CHALLENGE for Christ's sake and the inaction by the mods is a real snub to Phil's competition. Get a move on!!!

Thread: What's up with the latest challenge? | Forum: Bryce
I put a thread up last week about Phil's Challenge asking for a link to upload etc., - NOTHING. After a couple of days I IM'd AgentSmith asking directly what was happening to the June Challenge - NOTHING. What is going on with this site, does nobody update anymore? Dennisld
Thread: OT - I'm very depressed... | Forum: Bryce
Sorry old chap but I appear to have missed your birthday by a day but I do send my heartiest good wishes on your fifty years of population on this planet (and I thought you actually attended the Festival of Britain, oh well?) One thought I can give you, which may lift you from the Eastenders zone, and concentrate your mind to unmissable forthcoming events in your life, if you last long enough :). In 2025 there will be a triple conjunction of the planets Saturne and Neptune and on your Birthday too!! How could you not miss this astronomical astronomical event, you must live to at least seventy years old, you cannot possibly go without saying 'I was there', (thank you Max!). Go to a seance afterwards and let me know what it was like. Dennisld p.s. A triple conjunction is an astronomical event, where two planets or a planet and a star meet each other three times in a short period either in opposition or at the time of inferior conjunction, if an inferior planet is involved. The visible movement of the planet or the planets in the sky is therefore normally prograde at the first conjunction, retrograde at the second conjunction and again prograde at the third conjunction. Bryce that!!

Thread: OT - I'M IN!! | Forum: Bryce
TheBryster - Think you may have grabbed the wrong end of the stick, I'm so English I've only been out of the country twice and one of those times was a trip to the Isle of Wight! A certain young pro golfer named Casey recently said what he thought about Americans and promptly dug himself a hole which he can't now get out of. So if you think I'm going to say I don't like Americans........... Asta la vista
Thread: OT - I'M IN!! | Forum: Bryce
England's loss - America's gain I think. But don't forget they are still not overly in love with the Brits, remember......... In 1814 we took a little trip along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip. We took a little bacon and we took a little beans And we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans. We fired our guns and the British kept a'comin. There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago. We fired once more and they began to runnin' on down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico. A hit in England for Donegan and a hit in America for a guy called Driftwood, sais it all really. :) Still, I'm not biased (much?) so good luck to you and yours in your new American future life. Dennis

Thread: 1851 Great Exhibition at The Crystal Palace | Forum: Bryce
You know it really is a small world. I'm very interested in the Crystal Palace because I was born in a post-war prefab on Blackheath. The number of times I was fished out of the Prince of Wales pond on Blackheath is surely a world record. The 'prefabricated' homes were hastily erected after the war as purely temporary accommodation, they were made largely of asbestos, but we lived there for all of six years before being rehoused in Charlton. A piece of useless information for you, the grass on Blackheath was thought to be the greenest in all London because so many of the plague victims of 1665 were buried there and over the years........ Didn't know that as a kid or my dreams may not have been so sweet!! Thanks for looking. Bye now..............Dennis

If you'd like to experiment with some underwater mats and skies you could do worse than Menno's Underwater package. It's at the link, click on the whale image.January's Challenge at this site was 'Underwater Realism with Bryce' with some 70 odd entries won by Agent Smith.
Well worth a look through for some of the best underwater images posted at Renderosity.
Realistic underwater images are recognosed as the most difficult to master with Bryce so good luck with your efforts, your coming along nicely.
Bye now...........Dennis
