I have seen some cases, mostly custom Poser installation options, where if you have Poser 9 or Poser Pro 2012 on your system and you can not get the Miki4 to run, (The installer looks for the newest first, but if it does not find it, it goes to the next oldest) Sometimes, Windows Users can right click and run as Admin and it works, if not, all you need to do is to change the Poser 9 Application Folder Name temporarily to HOLDPoser 9

You can do the same with the Poser.exe or Poser app (IE HOLDPoser.exe) (Not sure if that is needed)

You may run into security on some systems, where you need to access as Admin. to change names. If you hide known extensions on Windows, Poser.exe (or PoserPro.exe) will not display the .exe but will have the Logo next and be an application file

Then run the Miki 4 installer, it should find Poser 10 or Poser Pro 2014

If you have obtained Miki 4 at CP, Free or otherwise, contact support saying you need the updated installer for Poser 10/Poser Pro 2014. Include the original Order Number.

It would have been added to your original order, but since it has been a while, it may have expired again.

Whenever Downloads are expired and there was an update, always contact Support first with the Order Number and Product.

Any other questions, always contact Support for specifics of your situation.

I know everyone has done this... but I am getting some reports of this fixing the issue this evening.

One, make sure your Poser 8 has the last Update installed (installed when Poser is not running)

Make sure your system is fully up to date

Also, make sure you have rebooted your system.

Those that had the issue and it has disappeared, please contact Support. Those that still have the issue, despite being fully up to date and having rebooted... please also contact Support.

How many of you are using Chrome and what version of Flash Player

This includes Mac, not just Windows.

I do something accidentally and get that... and I do something else to end it, but I can not recall what I do that causes it, and I can not recall what I do to stop it. I want to say I click on the figure in the Work Space, but I think that is when I notice the animation looping.

It should not happen when clicking on the Play button. If you get this everytime, contact Support. (Put Attn: John in the subject) Site mail me the incident and I will take a look  at the issue and help figure out the cause and solution hopefully.

I have not tried this specifically as of yet, but there were some cases where the Counter in one window was not updated when modified in another Window. I suspect if you return the focus to the window that is not behaving properly, that it will update the display. In reality, the frames are advancing, just one counter is not reflecting the change.

If you can, please provide details in a report to Support so we can make sure the issue is reported. If you want, send me a Site Mail letting me know the incident number so I can make sure it gets reported. You can put Attn: John in the subject as well.

Also, check to make sure you still have the latest Driver for your Video Card.. recent Windows update rolled back my nVidia Driver for some reason.. (Vista system)

Poser 7 does not have DefaultPoser.ini in the Prefs by default (you can add it on the last Service Release manually, but it is complicated to set up that way)

That error message means your Library Prefs are corrupted, or your Permissions are blocking Poser from accessing the Library Locations. (with Poser 7, should only impact External drives)

There is no difference in Hybrid Clothing, verses Conforming Clothing construction. Technically, there is very little different in Rigging/Setup. The key is that at one point, the Conforming stops and the rest is Dynamic. This could be just the lower leg of Bell Bottom Pants, or it could be from the Hip down on a Dress or Skirt (or long coat)

You can throw most any Conforming into the Cloth Room and run a Simulation on the cloth, but only the last Group (end of Sleeve, end of Pants, end of Skirt, etc...) You will see a lot of Hybrid include Morphs for Walking, Sitting, Squatting, etc... these are created by converting the simulation to a Morph on the Cloth for those parts affected by the Simulation.

The issue you may encounter with it in the Program Files is if you add content to the Main Library. That is when Window's Virtual Store can kick in and cause issues.

If the software was the cause, it would affect every install of Poser 7.

There is one other issue uncovered and a work around.

The Color Selection is wonky when using the standard Color Selection Screen. If you click on the Color Bars in the upper right corner, it opens the Custom Color Selection, which works without issues.

It's almost like Poser is trying to phone home?

I think you are seeing a different error. There is one very similar and it is not phoning home, but telling you that you are not connected to the Web, so the ability to Search CP from the Library will not function. It just is saying that in non Layman terms.

The error the original poster encountered is blocking Poser from accessing the Library and is a different message.

The issue is distribution of the deriviative Mesh File. The Printing Company I used once required I sign an agreement stating I had the rights to distribute the provided file.

If you have the software and the printer, I am not sure there would be any issues, since on the surface it does not seem that the Printed Item is redistributing the files or derivatives of the files.. but I would check with an attorney to be sure.

Can you do it, yes... is it legal, check with an Attorney.

There are issues with Poser 7, not visible, and not fixable.

The install issues is due to Apple changes in Permissions

The Icon, I am not sure, but I suspect it is also related to permissions...

Got a new Mac last night with Lion on it (i7) Got a Super Drive so I could install software. No issues with the newest SM Graphic Products, except for those mentioned, but I was surprised by all the others that do not install or will not work. Sorting through some of that today... glad I still have my Snow Leopard System to use the software with.

Most issues today seem to be related to permissions or Security Software.
