I actually like the bit of blue tones you have Kort. That makes it look just a bit colder as it was.
I think this image was hard to work with, because it is so easy to lose the subject, because of how much snow there was in air.
Good on all.

Tom I am going to upgrade my PSP8. to this, because for graphics it is way faster. I do my certain postworks in pSP but always transfer over to Photoshop for the saving. Something about PSP is I cznnot configure it to the sharpest details when saving files. You can't go wrong really.

Many of the artists here are my inspiration only. I see Andreas landscapes and strive for similar., because that is and always has been a fav subject for me.
I see danob 's Birds and try even harder. Seeing Valou's always creative work is something to look forward to.
Maydays constant work is a real inspiration. Anthony's mountain landscapes are breathtaking.
I have learned a lot here, and is why I enjoy coming back so much.
leliel86Â creative jewelry close ups are always an eye pleaser.
When I see Marlene's artistic postings I always have a good laugh and a good eye full of creative work. Now I see Tunde coming up and that is a real good feeling to see how the advancement is going. I cannot name everyone here, and sorry if your nae is missing, but all my comments on your works show they are really inspiring.Lest not forget Kai..Dianthus for froggies.
This place has all my favourite photographers.
Promiselamb ended up being a very creative photographer, and i wish she was back posting. Too bad so many people could not take her artistic creativity.

Kort... the image you posted and the ones Littlejock have above are fine examples of what I think are good low light. You both left the details of the subject in tact, and also brought to eye the mood as close to what the real view was when taken. How I can explain this better is that, sometimes you want to take a photo and keep it exactly as you saw it, even though a camera can sometimes lose the details such as your wood grain. Then the light from window can wash out the scene if not exposed right. Yours did not.
Definitely the older buildings or antique styles seem to go best with low light.
Just on Sunday I tried a similar shot in a barn, and it was a disaster.
Now Valou...your example of low light tutorials are excellent. You also brought out the details of the flame, while adding a very artistic approach to it. You also chose to make the door opening one in B&W which is appealing.
What is interesting and captures my eye on Littlejocks photos is how the shadows work in favour.
