Perhaps give gallery image owners the ability to hide or remove unwanted comments from their media? Then, we could report the user, and prevent the spaamers content from getting engagement.

Thread: Video Gallery & Youtube | Forum: Community Center
I am asking if there is a way to have the video that is shown here on Renderosity in the Video Gallery linked directly to a YouTube video. Not adding a link in the description.

Thread: Gallery Genre Reorganization | Forum: Community Center
While it is true that Surrealism is fantasy in that it is usually fantastical and or dreamlike in it's qualities, it is not the type of Fantasy most associate with the Fantasy Genre. Most think of the Fanatsy Genre as containing elements of the High Fantasy or Fantasy literature and games with things like castles, dragons, wizards, magic, monsters, warriors and such. While the word Fantasy can be applied much more boradly, when assigning as a genre for visual media it is important to consider how the greater public will associate and think of it. The meanings of Surrealism, Abstract, Impressionist (why don't we have an impressionist genre? Can it even be represented in 3d) can be discussed and argued from several angles I feel that doing so runs the risk of art snobbery. Even more importantly, these genres have multiple sub categories as well... and it is certainly possible to have an image that crosses genres.
I have done a lot of Surreal art in my time, both traditional and digital. I am also a fan of Surreal Art (especially the works of Salvador Dali, M.C. Escher, and H.R. Geiger). I definately strongly feel it should remain a seperate and distict category and have better curation in terms of what media is added to ti. I do like the idea presented by Torquinox to add text tags explaining the genre galleries to users, though as was said you can not force people to read them. Still, I am all in favor of trying to lift people up and educating them rather than watering down the galleries to make them "easier" to understand.

Thread: ETA on Hivewire purchase history transfer? | Forum: Community Center
My understanding from the support ticket and answer several months ago is that this process has been abandoned. You would need to reach out to the individual Vendors of the products in question and see if they would be able to get them gifted into your Renderosity account. Keep in mind, in most cases, the individual vendors do not have access to the sales records of each user who bought their products, so they may not be able to help. From what I understand Hivewire3D also no longer has these records. If you have copies of the original invoices, that could help. Also keep in mind that the vendors need to manually request the products be "gifted" to you here at Renderosity one product at a time, which is tedious and time consuming. I wish I could offer more encouraging information and advice.

Thread: wall sneaks into render | Forum: La Femme 2
A few tips for scene composition I would suggest:
Get in the practice of Viewing the scene using different cameras while setting it up.
Set you main Camera Preview mode to be solid shaded so you can see the position of the main camera when looking through another camera (helps when trying to prevent clipping)
You can sometimes fix clipping issues with walls by adjusting various camera settings such as Focal Length and Scale. Be careful on how much you change Focal Length as it can greatly alter the overall look. +/- 10 should not alter the look too severely though.
I almost always render to a specific resolution, and only use fit in preview window when doing simple lighting, texture, or composition tests.

Thread: New Poser Product Clarification | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
That's what I figured, and why I posted here to draw Marketplace Staff attention to the product to clarify and correct it.
DS users will likely not see it in the Poser category and may not purchase it as it lists Poser required under software, and Poser users will be disappointing if they purchase it and find it is DS only. There is a separate Poser versions listed right next to it.

Thread: Dawn | Forum: New Poser Users Help
As mentioned, a basic version of Dawn ships with Poser. If you are looking for a more robust version, or a version to use with DS that can be found in the Dawn Community Bundle:

You can find a lot of Dawn compatible items, as well as her male companion Dusk here:

and

and I have some poses for her in my store and hope to release some more soon.

Thread: How create multiple exposures look | Forum: New Poser Users Help
Alternately-
This could be done with 3 copies of the Dog figure in the scene, each in the position and pose you want in the scene, and setting up some transparency or ghost shaders in the material room - at least this is how I would likely do it.

Any chance of talking you in to once again supporting Poser with versions of your products? I have some of your products from way back, Wouldn't mind having some of the new ones if I could use them.

I may be moving over to using Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo as well, so I second adding these to the lists.

Thread: Items sold at a previous store | Forum: Suggestion Box
@GGreen I agree, especially as Renderosity has absorbed three stores now that no longer sell - are not even online anymore. I try to do this with my products, but the most recent absorption was done with automated tools, and I had very little input. In fact on many of those products most of the colorful story blurb and details I normally put on the product pages was pruned off. I keep meaning to correct it, but have been dealing with a lot of other issues, and really have just not felt like it is worth the effort to fix lately.

Thread: Merging Gift Certificates | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
I think it would be great to maybe get rewards at $5 increments or $10 Increments up to the current $50. For example, if I have 2500 rewards points, that would normally be one $5 and two $10 gift certificates I think it would be great to simply get a $25 certificate.
Alternately, allowing using multiple Gift Certificates on an order would achieve the same goal and be just as good IMHO, then staff would not have to manually merge gift certificates and customers would be able to use rewards with more ease.
Just my thoughts.

Thread: Question : Interested in animaitons for Poser ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As a content creator and Vendor I do create a lot of my own poses and animated poses. As an artist trying to produce projects I also often will pick up the odd pose pack or animated pose pack if it is something that can save me time. So I can say, yes there is a market...
However -
When I do purchase such content and it has not been properly formatted, created, edited, or troubleshot to work properly with figures or as universal poses, it gets me very upset. It will result in negative reviews and product refunds. I am frustrated when I have professionally sold poses that contain extraneous or unnecessary data (BODY positioning unless designed for use with a specific environment, or morph channels, etc...) because I then need to go in and edit and fix them. With animated poses, I hate it when body parts pass through each other, hands or feet distort, figure rises and floats, etc... as I need to go in and edit and fix these. If I have to spend time fixing and cleaning up animations and poses they are not worth investing money in and I might as well just make my own. I know I am not alone as a Poser user who has been burned by such animated poses in the past and so there is reluctance among many to purchase such content unless the source is known and proven.
BVH can be exported from a variety of ways that can be accurately imported for specific Poser figures. Poser can import BHV properly if it knows the right format and if the source format was prepared with Poser in mind. There have been many discussions online in various 3D and Poser forums regarding this, especially at the time Poser 2012 was released as it had plug ins that would allow users to use an Kinect to capture BVH motion capture for Poser. I would strongly urge looking up and researching these things if you want to sell animations to Poser users. It would be prudent to get some familiarity to learn enough about Poser and importing and exporting BVH and poses and certainly going through them in Poser to edit and clean them up and optimize them to insure the end user is getting a quality product, especially at the prices you suggested. You had mentioned that this is not worth your time, and I hope I misunderstood. I can understand wanting to prioritize "creating Content" over time to troubleshoot and edit - but troubleshooting and editing is part of content creation. If what you really mean is you would rather prioritize creating the default content for whatever software you currently support and Poser users are an afterthought that will either get a less polished product - then perhaps it is not an endeavor worth pursuing as it could go very badly.
Either way, I wish you luck.
