Quote - For simple clothes without any morphs it's almost a "click, click" operation and you're done. The more complex the clothing requires a bit of time to smooth it out. Clothing with morphs that you want to keep are the most time consuming. Not difficult, just tedious. some of the other tools in the package makes it extremly well worth the price. Note: it does not do gloves and may have isues with various footware.
Many thaks for the speedy reply - that pretty much covers what I was asking!

How easy is this program to use for someone who isn't a modeller, has little experience (or patience) for such things, and could never get the Tailor to work adequately? :)  That is, is particularly newbie-friendly, or does it require some expertise? I gather there are good tutorials, but will it take a significant amount of time to get up to speed?
Thread: Are ALL Poser users cat lovers? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
2 dogs, here. One's a mostly-whippet. She was a rescue, and she's a bit psycho thanks to her previous owner, alas. She's very loving with those she recognizes as 'family', but strangers better be careful of their ankles... The other is a big, lovable, goofy dog - half Black Labrador Retriever, half Bernese Mountain Dog. This was my Poser attempt to capture his favorite expression. Both are currently flopped on my bed, sleeping.  I'm allergic to cats, but I like 'em in small doses.
Thread: Anyone else's carpal tunnel syndrome increase by using Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I had tendonitis for awhile, from too much repetitive-motion computer use. Things that worked for me:
For pain: hot/cold treatments. Ice pack and heating pad, alternately. (Ice reduces swelling, heat relaxes overtense muscles.)
If problems persist: Wrist braces, available at any med-suply store at about $20 each. They're clunky, but they can really save your wrists.
Don't go for cortisone shots or surgery till you've tried everything else that can help! Save those for when the problem gets severe or refuses to respond to lesser treatments.

Proud lifetime member, so you can pretty much see my answer to the title question. ;)
As far as Jessie and James, with the new G2 figures coming out (and being free to P6 owners), I suspect that interest in them may well perk up somewhat.
Thread: Do you use poser as therapy??? Does poser raise your spirits??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I wouldn't call it therapy as such, but I find it calming. Since I suffer from stress and dysthymia, calming things are goooooood. :) It also gives me an outlet for frustrated creative energies.

Another proud lifetime member and Steve/Lyrra supporter. Steve - if you use SpamAssassin, I have a friend who made a great frontend for it called Maia Mailguard. It might help "tune" your filters.
Thread: Poserworld-Steve Shanks | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've always had the best of good service from Steve & Co., very thoughtful and considerate. And believe me, as a person who tends to complain about every small hitch, that means a lot. As for bearing with Allen when he's ill, some said: "That's no way to run a business." Well, each to their own opinion. And my opinion is: it damn well should be the way to run a business. If running a business means cutting off people who've given long-term good service because they have the temerity to get sick, then heaven help us all. And all for a few imaginary constructs of points in space? It's not like anyone's losing money (heaven forbid!) on the deal - Steve has said we'll all get our full time's worth. Steve, Lyrra, Allen: I appreciated you guys before: you give a good service at a good price. But after seeing some of the guff you have to go through, I'm suddenly militant in my support of y'all. When you're back up, I'll have to see if I can manage to send a few new customers your way. I'd go buy a lifetime membership myself, but I got one already. :)

Here's another question: are the README files made available before you buy the product? I went by the site, and couldn't find any links to README or license files for the individual products. (Perhaps I just missed it, in which case, ignore this rant.) If the README is not available, that means that you have to buy the product without knowing how you may or may not be able to use it! Now that would be utterly intolerable for a buyer.

Also, if the figure has inverse kinematics, sometimes I've found that it's necessary to turn that off to deal properly with shoes and boots.
Thread: Apartment of the future... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
80 years from now, eh? I have a feeling what my apartment will need will be life support...
Actually, that's an idea, come to think of it - a Personal Diagnostic Scanner, used to keep track of your health and vital statistics. What with medical services at an incresing premium (in both senses), anything that could be automated (like cholesterol checks, blood-pressure monitoring, weight tracking, etc.) should be. It could even be built into a bed, if that isn't too intrusive for folks to accept. Every apartment should have one.
Air filters should be in there too... even if in the future we manage to roll back air pollution, it'd be nice to filter out all those allergens.
A lot really demands on the kind of future we're talking about. Corporate-controlled, as most cyberpunk? Figure on apartments either very small or very large, the common-man type being plastic-like and modular, with cheap add-ons being the general rule. Idealistic, a la Star Trek? All the gizmos and gadgets here discussed, and a few nice houseplants. :) Etc.

I hear that Basil Rathbone got very nervous when swordfighting with Danny Kaye in "frantic" mode. :) Nothing like mad flailing with a foil... So, back to the on-topic... I love these "Scare Bears". And if you ever do a twisted version of My Little Pony, I'm so there. :)

Woo woo! I won something! That's my first, I think. Thanks, Netherworks! :) Email shall commence. :) I adore The Court Jester. I have it on DVD and watch it so often that I can repeat, "The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle..." and sing "They'll never outfox the Fox..." OK, I'm an uber-geek.
