I agree with face-off, for some reason she looks more realistic in profile than head-on. Maybe she needs a little bit of asymmetry? Excellent work nonetheless. BTW, in profile she immediately reminded me of German actress Franka Potente... - Graham

'I've taken XP in the spec's to mean there's no support provided for any problems, to make things easier for CL.'
I think nghayward has hit the nail on the head.
I know of some software that categorically won't run on anything other than XP, but in this case I think it's just a way of CL managing their technical support obligations - not unreasonable IMO.

ATI Radeon 9200
To be honest though I only installed it out of curiosity to see if it would run at all - whether or not it runs well, I can't say. So far I've done a handful of FireFly renders of the default figures, and opened and rendered a P4 .pz3 file - nothing fancy or particularly demanding on system resources.

beryld - I use a combination of UVMapper Pro and PSP7 for all my texturing. Hopefully this is what you mean by getting UVMapper Pro to work in PSPS...
Make sure than in UVMapper Pro you set 'Texture' to Auto Update. Now, in PSP whenever you hit Ctrl-C (or Ctrl-Shift-C if you're working with an image with multiple layers) your image is copied to the clipboard and then automatically loaded into UVMapper Pro.
A word of warning though, big textures with multiple layers (say 1024x1024 with three layers) will take a long time to copy over, and may cause UVMapper Pro to hang.
Usually I have both programs open in fullscreen windows and then Alt-Tab between them, but if you set UVMapper Pro's 'View' menu to Always On Top, you can have it running as a little preview screen with PSP underneath.
Hope this helps.

LMAO :)

'Fraid I haven't worked on it since my initial post. Actually, there's not much left to build - just the pylons and the sensor dish. I should probably pull my finger out and get it done. She might be ready for launch in late February... or possibly early March ;)
Cheers

In all fairness, this was never intended for renderosity freestuff - I made my own decision several months back to have all my rendo freebies be suitable for commercial use, and this was never going to fall into that category LOL
Of course, wherever it does end up, I'll be posting a link to it here in the forum :)
Cheers

Heh, actually I'd thought about that - or something along those lines... The basic Amphicat is actually a bit dull, but it may well be back in a more 'post-apocalyptic' incarnation ;)
