My statement is that I use poser and DAZ3A Not genesis . because if i want to buy models for my job I want to be able to use them both in Daz and poser. Other wise I mise well go back to school and learn Maya and stop buying models all together.
I am a front-end graphic designer so using Poser and daz renders are a great help to me and the models I buy for my renders for the web sites i create can and are tax right off.
The Fact s is at daz.com alone since January, I spent $2800 on Models all Atmosphere and architecture type because i can not use genesis in poser. and if I have to buy models I want my dollar to go as far as it can those were my comment that were removed.
how is that not being nice.? It is a customer concern.
I have spent a large insane amount of money here at this site as well and everyone of the venders I have contacted thanking them for the models or ask if they can develop for me something special I need. I have a good re-pour with the venders in both site.s
My point about Daz company it self , and not the venders is they don't care about the concerns of their customers when they lock threads or delete comments asking to please continue to support v4 m4 products for poser and daz3a. or i will not be buying them,
how is that not being nice? Let me ask you. How much have you spent on models?

Quote - As Chohole just said, the thread was not locked because of your posts, but because of the dozens of insult and accusation posts we did remove, which would not stop. Criticism is perfectly valid unless it disrupts a commercial thread, in which case you are welcome to start a separate thread about it, or if it results in personal attacks and app wars, in which case the offending posts are removed.
I Just got the email from daz. I understand what happened now.
I was not party to the issue that got the threads locked. But i do feel i was a targeted on the thread i had started when my post are removed when i criticized the actions of the thread being locked . my misunderstand that I am sorry . I did not see the post that were removed .
I am very passionate and to me DAZ3a and poser are a very big functional part of my tools for front end web site graphics . I get upset and shoot my mouth off( bad habit I know) . but that thread was not to upset people but to ask the venders to please continue to support v4- m4 products and I will continue to support them by purchasing them. when my post are removed I felt it was a personal attack so I guess I did attack back.
The problem was one of frustration and misunderstanding. and I felt I was attacked for my opinion that's why I attacked back.
. its been a long day at the office.
Now that I got your email my understanding of what happen is better and I apologize

Quote - > Quote - and to the amount you spent on getting DAZ and Poser products is by far much less then I and others have spent and to try and compaire it to the few pennies you have spent, hummm, so please don't go there
You've spent $2800 since January? lol
yes thats just at Daz.com.
that not including what i spent at Redo, Content pradise and runtimeDNA.com.
I'll have to look at those totals as well. and you may laugh but for a lowly graphic deisgner thats a lot of money

Thread: screen capture software for tutorials? | Forum: Animation
i like both camstia and camstudio.
Also if you use windows 7 you can also use windows screen snaps to capture your monitor images
Thread: 16 by 9 ratio magic? | Forum: Animation
when i render for animation I render for HD and my render size is always 1920 x 1080 dpi. I save my renders in AVI formatt in DAZ studio & poser pro.
when i use codex for saving my avi. I save as radulis codex 100% in Daz studio and Microsoft uncompressed VI in poser. for best quailty animations. if you render in PNG frames your files size will be huge and then you still need to put them together so saving as AVI is best for longer animations runs
Then you need a movie editing program. you can use Mircosoft Movie Maker which is free or You can buy a good inexpensive video editing software at adobe, com called premiere elements 10 for $78 bucks. which will help you greatly when just getting started. with built in content music and movie editing help.
biggest hang up I have with rendering for animation is the render times. you got to be patient because render times can be very long. some scenes can take you days to render if your using raytrace shadow map
Good luck :)

Thread: Animation test | Forum: Animation
Quote - the music and sound effects are epic, well done. The anim is a good start. What tool was used for anim/rendering?
(I guess I should read those scrolling credits and list of tools shown at the end :-)
You know, all in all, kudos... because while it may at times look crude or simple, if not amusing, it's probably better than what I could produce if my life depended on it. So, really, great job! Keep at it!
Thanks for the comment. I appreciate your kind words
The short film was made & rendered with Daz studio 3 advanced. and it was just a test animation for using a timeline presets for the sub dragon.
so I thought of instead of doing like hundreds of others do when they matke a test, which is lifeless and a bunch of test animations with no story or reason. I tried to make a cute story out of my test animations.
I'm not a writer or a actress, so thats out. but I am a graphic artist. so for a production I did completely myself. Including the character voices,( I used a voice changing software) Music timing and remastering. creating & timing sound effects (I made myself.) and then putting all the daz models togther and animating them. Its not a pixar animation for sure. But its not half bad being all done by one person.
I know there are some viewers that expect more out of animatons. But It's really surprizing how many people think that low budget software and one person creating an animation and expect it to be as good as a pixar animation. which has hundreds of people and millons of dollars. Its just just not gonna happen when its one person, using cheap software :)
But then again it really surprises me is how many worst animations than this test animaton i have seen on youtube which people love. Go figure:)
edited for spelling

Quote - I have to agree. It's time consuming to get it right. And sometimes no matter what you do, there is still a small glitch here and there. But you work on something for several days, and when you show it to someone, it's like "that's it???"
Yes, that's it. But I have seen some amazing things done with DAZ and Poser that you wouldn't know were consumer grade software. And the movies that the Blender Foundation put out there, which was done almost entirely in Blender are simply amazing. If we keep at it, we can get some pretty good results from this "cheap" software.
Thank you for your comments and taking time to watch my animations.
I am hoping that in time no matter the software I am using I will be able to create quality animations. My biggest problem is the learning curve in the use of the software. Most of this "CHEAP" Software the animation part of it was a after thought. Most people use poser and daz just for still graphics having no idea what it takes to create a animation with it.
Poser and Daz is way more difficult to use for animation than the Pixar Marionette software and renderman render engines which was designed for animation creation.
Autodesk Maya is becoming much easier to use now that pixar has started also to use autodesk Maya for off site artist contributing to a project.
I am hoping as time passes and more people become involved in creating animation with poser and daz, that animation tools will improve and become a better software.
all software has to start somewhere.
if your interested in learning more about Pixar software which is now available to the public for API at a very hefty price you can follow this link :) http://renderman.pixar.com/view/renderman
Again thank you for your interest and comment on my animation :)

Thank you for your comment.

Quote - Most of them are "fashion shows", which don't take a lot of time to do. Just pose the model and do a fly around. Slow it down in post and you have it. And there are some which you can see the person didn't take a lot of time to do right. And I even saw one the other day where they didn't even render the thing. It was the preview mode, and you could see the lights and all. Oh well, I will keep doing things the way I do them. I am working on one right now that will be on YouTube in a few days. I will post the link here and in the Poser forum...
please do i love to see it.
