I've been printing Poser images for some time and never had a serious problem with textures not coming up to snuff. I use a Xerox laser printer set for default printing at 600dpi, and the images come out sharp as tacks, even when the image I send to print is more like 150-200 dpi. Yep, larger textures are always better, but not completely necessary.

How can you not love her? Actually, pretty easily. Neftis' ToonGal is, IMHO, much more stylish. There are those, I know, who think Neftis ripped off the G.I.R.L., but I'd simply say it's an improvement.

You could also start with the TomStrong character at animotions.com -- it's a version of the P4 male that has tricked out musculature. From there, go to a close up of the head and start working the dials to get the combination of slitted eyes and enlarged eyebrows. Decrease the head size to 90-95% to make the body that much larger. Once you're done there, apply an Oriental-style texture to the body. Yer done.

Actually, it looks like they went into the materials window and simply turned off the head texture and replaced it with white. Not the lips or eyes or anything, just the skin on the head. (edited to insert that second sentence)

Just got to see the animation. My god, woman, that is IMPRESSIVE. Isn't this insane? :) I mean, a few years ago, who would have thought we could do anything like this on our little home machines? And thanks for all the kind words about Chris, guys. It's much appreciated. Yeah, he gets spoiled rotten, but that came from the human training I received from his predecesor Florence, who lived to the ripe old age of (ready for this?) twenty-six. All that C&C training just stayed in there when Chris came along. :)

Sean, the hair, as many of Kozaburo's recent hairs, loads with the Display>Figure style pre set to Wireframe, overriding the document display mode. Ah. Okay, got it now. Thanks!

I have, at this point in time, 103 CDs of archived Poser stuff, almost all of the character stuff P4-oriented, since I rarely use the MilFolk. I've managed to expand that inventory by taking textures designed for other characters and adapting them over via Photoshop for use on my little P4Guy, and I've found methods of adapting outfits for use on Ichiro, even though they were designed for something else (and nope, folks, I dont use Tailor or Texture Converter; it's all done by hand). There's some gorgeous stuff no longer available: one of my favourites was an Italian site that had page after page of textures for the basic P4 clothing, both male and female -- gorgeous stuff that played with transparency and bump maps. Now it's gone, but I still managed to snag it all before the site disappeared. Lots of older sites like that are gone (anyone remember John on the Run?), and it's a shame there's not a library of sorts for them.
