Thread: What am I not getting about remapping a figure using UV Mapper..Help! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for your comments Nance, Ok here's what I can tell. I looked in the "Zygote Characters" folder were the exe placed the figure from the disc. This is the Bigfoot character from the Poser 4 Pro Pack fx and design book. This is not a downloaded character from Zygote or Daz. It appears that only a Bigfoot obj. and an rsr. are in the Geometries>Zygote Characters folder. I don't have a lot of savy with Poser yet so forgive me if I'm missing the basics here. I went thru the exact steps that Steve Cox's tutorial goes thru about doing a remap. I opened UVMapper loaded the original bigfoot obj made a New Plannar Map for it and then went thru various remapping steps to seperate the body parts. I then saved the "new" model as Bigfoot 2 and saved the new map. I then imported the Bigfoot 2 obj into Poser and that's were I'm at. It takes the new map fine like it should it just isn't posable because Poser sees it as a Static Model from what I can tell and that's the part I'm having trouble understanding. If I cant pose the remapped model then what's the point of remapping? Like I said I must be not understanding the process or something. Nothing new there!
Thread: Almost ready, I think - Criticisms welcome. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ok, I'll try to be helpful. I've heard many people before and from what little experience I have say that eyewhite's aren't white. They do look more realistic when they are a slight purpleish pink color. Sample some color from photos and experiment. I also think the eyelashes especially on the bottom lids are a little short and or thin. There's also something about the line of lip color on the upperlip where it meets the flesh that just sticks out at me but I can't put my finger on what to suggest. Overall tho everything looks good! Hope I was of some help.

Thread: Question about the Poser 4 Updater Save folder......? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I resaved the window smaller on a file and closed it and then started to make a new file and I get the same " window size too large message" again. I then opened my file with the smaller window and I get the message again. Somebody clue me in here. It seems that I'm getting this warning no matter what file I open. I'm going to bed now I'll check back and see if anyone know's what's up with this in the morning. Thanks, droyd
Thread: Question about the Poser 4 Updater Save folder......? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A couple of things I thought I'd mention since I'm at it. I just opened Poser since I updated it and now the position of my document window ( or whatever it's called) is not were I saved it when I set the prefered state. The rest of the interface is saved just the window isn't. I moved it where I wanted it and closed it and Poser. The second time I opened Poser I got this message: "The requested window size is too large, creating the next best thing". Or something to that effect. What's that all about? Now I now why they say if it's not broke dont fix it!
Thread: disappointed with eon support....anyone else have problems? | Forum: Vue
Thanks Lynn for taking the time to respond here. Thanks also to Audity for setting me straight. I guess I didn't understand about the 4.03 full update containing all the previous updates. I just went to eon and read it again and I guess that "Update from any previous version" means just that! I kind of assumed it did but you all know what happens when we assume... Thanks everybody for responding, I always appreciate it!

Ok, Sounds like I'm not alone here. I agree with MikeJ that it would be nice if they just give you a quick reply to let you know they're looking into your question. That's all I really wanted anyway. This is the exact question I asked : Hi, I recently had to reinstall Vue 4 after a clean install of windows. Should I only install the 4.03 update or do I need to install the 4.01 update as well. I have the soleil/ sun naming problem and the render to disk crash problem. end of message^ I did come here and sort of asked the same question and got some decent answers. Thanks again to those that responded. I sent them this question for 2 reasons. I wanted to get the answer from the horses mouth since I'm just overly paranoid about installing patches that I may not need (4.01) and I also wanted to see if they would respond since they didn't the last time I asked a question. I know that I would probably find out what I needed to do by just installing the updates and seeing what happened. I was just hoping they'd tell me in a day or so, so I didn't have to install uneeded updates. Am I too paranoid....probably!

Thread: Iso's beautiful kimonos | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Mon, I wish I could help. I too could use any tips with using Iso's wonderful models. If you don't get much of a response to your question here I'd post a new message with a title like " Need help with Iso's kimono!" Just a thought.
